Yeah, I know. I explained myself in a follow up comment. Debunked scientific literature shouldn't be banned, but they also shouldn't be taught in schools as fact. That's what I meant by that.

You ever hear of this thing the kids call the "Internet"?

Nope. Hell, even scientifically debunked literature shouldn't be banned. If people want to read ignorant bullshit, that's on them.

No.

I like how "worthy" is the word he used there... does he consider rape a punishment, or does he think it's an honor, because that's what worthy would indicate.

I can't believe this comment gets 28 stars on a 'feminist' website. And that it's the top highlighted comment. Fucking kinja.

Yes, for some reason misogyny is really not that socially unacceptable.

I won't argue that her stomach looks attractive, but I think it's disingenuous to praise people's dramatic weight loss while hiding what a body that's lost that amount of weight actually looks like.

She lost a 170 lbs. Who cares if she has loose skin? The kind of dedication it takes to lose that much weight makes it a greater accomplishment than most people will ever experience. In short, you can take your judgmental attitude and fuck right off.

No offense to your body, but her body may be different from yours. In fact, I guarantee it is different, in one way or another.

I'm not saying she did or didn't modify her body (I really don't care), but it strikes me kind of judgmental and cruel to accuse a woman of plastic surgery based wholly on the assertion that

I agree. It's a lot LESS tired than when she did it in her 20s and 30s.

"My aunt went into the convent in the late '50s, when nuns were still cloistered, at least as novitiates."

Who else does this at age 50? Fifty-year-old women are completely invisible in the media, unless they're actors playing somebody's mom. There are no representations of 50-year-old female sexuality outside of MILF porn or the occasional Nancy Meyers film, and in those, all the body parts are shrouded in

And that's a huge point. Part of the reason it's safe(r) for women artists to do a lot of things is that Madonna did them first. Whatever else, she's brave as fuck. She's definitely worth defending.

But that is the play book of every single pop artist / rockstar ever, and she was doing that when it wasn't that safe for a woman artist to do, at a scale never attempted before. You'll have to excuse my defense of her, I will always be a fan.

Somehow I think this may have been meant as a joke.

No, it's the other way around. My friend had not been married previously. Her noncatholic husband had been married. To a catholic. In a noncatholic ceremony. So they had to prove his ex was catholic for his marriage to be invalid, which would free him up to get married in a catholic ceremony.

That's nice. Check back in another 20, when your relationship has lasted as long as this one did.

I never thought I'd say this, but the fact that it's PBR isn't even the worst thing about it. This would be seriously disgusting with good beer too. What was the thought process?

"Gee, I like beer, but I wish it was hot. Not just warm, but HOT hot. Also I like burgers but I don't think they're soggy enough, if only

I'm a milspouse (Navy), and I have complicated feelings about them. For some reason, the ones with animals don't really bother me. With humans, I'm less enthused. I guess because they only show that one moment of relief and glorify it, while totally ignoring all the hard work that goes into readjustment for all
