All of these articles talking about how streaming is just as expensive as cable are missing the point: Streaming allows you to go a la carte—you don’t *have* to get every single subscription service. And, if you do, then, yeah, you’re probably better off with cable.

Watched the first season of The Returned (Les Revenants) on Netflix and was so hooked that I bought the second season on Amazon only to quickly realized that it had been sanitized for American television and had fade-to-black commercial markers! Should’ve just waited for it to come to Netflix. Lesson learned.
