I havent been excited about a console in a long time, even when the PS2 was released i didn't really care all that much. Most households have a PC these days and it doesn't cost and arm and a leg to improve it to be a capable gaming machine.

Yeah, no-one can say for sure if they could re-coup profits lost on hardware, but hardware takes years to finally become profitable.
Nintendo didn't invent the lightgun, in fact Sega had made a few Lightgun games in arcades years beforehand. They didn't invent them either, but the point is that Nintendo didn't invent them.
Having thier games across every format would make nintedo millions in revenue. Forcing people to buy a piece of hardware they dont want however not so much. I'd buy a lot of Nintendo titles if they were available on PC, and i can't remember the last time i bought a brand new Nintendo game.
Im not bothered about games being shorter. Some games like RPG's suit being long whereas more action based games can feel a little tedious when dragged out. As mentioned above, Fallout and Elder Scrolls are amazing due to how much there is to do and how long it takes. You never feel like the game has just been padded…
Im going to buy Fez because i've heard it's a great game and i think it looks awesome, just because he has an opinion and is vocal about it doesn't change that and it never should.
I really wanted a Wii U, i really did. I sold my 360 to get instore credit at GAME and then started looking at the Library of games...then spent all my credit on Steam Wallet codes! Due to this, i managed to play way more quality titles than is available on WiiU. In a few years it might be alright, but right now it is…
I only really liked the first smackdown and the saints row games so im not really that fussed. Dawn of war was alright but could have been better. :/ Im not really suprised THQ went under to be honest.
Wow, a lot of people seem to have a lot of problems getting games running on PC's. The only game i've had a problem with in the last 2 years is Fallout 3, it worked fine for a while and then just started crashing 30 secs into it. Not bad for almost 2yrs and hundreds of games played, all of which look, sound and run…
Yep, who gives a shit about them? I dont need gratification for just playing the game, surely the joy of the game is rewarding enough?
You must not have played much since uncharted 2 or 3 or at least nothing on pc anyway. I agree that witcher 2 is a far better looking game...even if it is a bit crap.
I like the thinking behind this, this generation of consoles has been pretty stale. Most of what this offers can be done on a pc, thats a given. Most people are also told that they can have better games/graphics/performance on PC's too, but the usual excuse given is that they dont want to sit at a PC or they want to…
