I don’t know if it’s imagination that is missing, it is really just poor design. You just can’t scale pixels up and have it still look good without an artist retouching it and putting everything where it should be.

It’s not just that its HD textures make it easier to spot errors, I mean just look at the character art, it looks like a shitty free app on the Playstore/Appstore... it doesn’t look like a well designed character... I mean even the dated and pixelated original version had more detail than this shit...

It’s almost funny how much more interesting Leon is in Kingdom Hearts. He’s got a real personality there that was missing in VIII (which I do still love), whereas Cloud’s become the angsty, boring one. More so in KH2 than the original, but still. Funny.

I dunno I always read Cloud’s “I don’t really care...” And hair brush in an angsty/too cool for school tone. Granted I was 13 when FF7 came out so I was an angsty/too cool for school high schooler

I think there still stands a requirement to all media agencies to refer to him as “angsty” because in the past they needed to back up the personality they adopted for him in short hand- namely, Kingdom Hearts, Advent Children and Dissidia.

Well ff7 world map had hidden features, hidden place to get limit break, i do think it’s important to have a world map in this game...

Yeah, the world map does greatly improve the feeling of cohesiveness in the world. You get to see how places are geographically related to one another. It worked great in recent games like Ni No Kuni and Bravely Default.

I don’t imagine that happening unless the team want to keep the feeling of the original(it won’t). An explorable world map would take a lot out of the new engine and possibly bloat the memory.

Its like there is no mystery left in things. The ending doesnt have to explain what happened to everybody it shows that you saved the world and thats all you need to know! When I first beat it and saw the “secret” ending and then the stars I thought it was so perfect. The planet recovered and all is well now. Good…

I will say of all the F2P models I’ve seen, this is in my opinion the best. Having a “if you pay us X you get the game as a whole” is probably the least intrusive.

So for clarity, I can basically spend 32 bucks and just play the game as much as I want when I want with all the features, yes?

Because I’d prefer to do that. I love PicCross puzzles and Pokemon is nostalgia city, so it would be worth it to me. But I despise incremental fees for expiring items.
