You’re correct console wise, and I’m not rebutting that in any way- but nintendo’s handhelds have always been driven by 3rd party just as well as 1st. My 3DS has been my primary gaming device for a few years now.

If 3rd party is the most important thing to you, you should not buy Nintendo consoles- end of discussion. They may get 3rd party, they may not- but their emphasis is and always has been 1st party that utilizes their hardware optimally.
