Even the character's standing stance looks like Link's. It is all original art, but the resemblance is way too close. There's almost an infinite potential for original and unique appeal when using pixels. This is too close for simple homage. I call foul.

"Maybe I was just younger, but I feel like there were more surprises back then, or at least more I was interested in."

I mainly game portable nowadays. Also, portable computer. Smaller TV. No crazy stereo or sound bar. Being poor is good for the environment. I've got your planet's future on lock, people!

I'm not slamming this game right here, but it seems to me that current "indie" and phone gaming culture has bred a bunch of games that are either based entirely on one part of a classic game that offered a full array of gameplay scenarios, or are 1/200th of any Wario Ware game, without anything else, repeated forever.

Now playing

When I play this game, I just want the asterisk boss theme to play on repeat. I like the game, but many things about it are quite vanilla and redundant, and hold it back from being great. That boss theme is perfect, however. If I had a better copy on file, I'd blast it every time I drive and likely get pulled over

Yo, honestly- FUCK your interface, Kinja. For the fifth time since you changed the website function, I've somehow written a long, relevant and well-thought reply to an article, only to have it somehow highlight the ENTIRE piece I wrote when I went to move the cursor back to correct something, in a delayed fashion,

The rub is that many people could have told them that the N64, the original Wii, the DS and the 3DS were bad ideas from day one, and they turned around pretty hard after they gained traction. I'm not saying the Wii U is going to turn around, but I'm saying that having a premonition of a product being a bad idea never

*sigh... the things I'll never be able to buy. I always want to do creative stuff, but it would take a winning lottery ticket for me to feel free enough with my time to do so. Also, the internet allows me to see that millions of people are millions of times more creative and skilled than I can ever be. I'm still

Finally! Somebody has the right idea with regards to color usage, time/setting and stylization. "Next Gen" is tired of being synonymous with "Michael Bay" when it comes to visual appeal and subject matter.

I'll put two bucks down for an "Alpha" and "Omega" form change, by some in-game stone or location. Seems typical enough for me.

Hmmm.... they are. Also, thank you for striking my nostalgic heart strings with that video :)

Those lines are just the lights from when they awaken. They were evident on the silhouettes on all three games' title screens.

I understand what you're saying, but what you need to understand is that while there are a lot of people who want the franchise to go in a new direction, perhaps console MMO, there are millions more who want the franchise to stay its course, and love the remakes. Numbers suggest that Pokemon games still sell

Not that I didn't supremely enjoy X and Y, but...... they were SO lacking in content. Now we get to enjoy the aesthetic and musical upgrades of the current generation with what I see as the most content-rich generation that didn't make a chore out of its length or heft. Can't wait to see the new mega-evos, not to

Proper responses to this:

The only upgrade I would have wanted is built in memory, or a voucher for a free 64gb memory card. I've since filled my 16gb card. I still have my PSP, because I can't fit any of the games on my Vita, and I even have a Vita game or two that doesn't fit on my system at a time. The sad part is that I only have 9

Of course, after I watched the video, I can see that everything we both just said was summarized some time in the past much more succinctly and directly. I love commenting before I take in the subject matter at hand, ha ha. Either way, I applaud us, as well as Nietzsche, for being among the few who get it.

That's how I feel about my 3DS every day. I've bought so many AAA games over the past 2 years, I'm still eating through them slowly (I just beat RE: Revelations FINALLY, and finished Luigi's Mansion and Yoshi's New Island back to back the following days). I still have a few from last year to beat as well, and I

I can't believe you're the first commenter I see involved in a topic I was prepared to see fools debating, and you say something with so much sense sense that I didn't expect to see. I know too many people who think science and faith/religion/myriad philosophical beliefs are opponents of eachother. It gets

This article makes it seem like activism by using phrases like "fighting to" when it's more of a request, suggestion or nod at equality/diversity. Don't get your panties in a bunch here, people. While I'll admit that I would find it stupid to say that I would need a character in a story driven game to be exactly
