It’s a Shelby Daytona Coupe … I’d have risked going down with the ship to save that car.

I’m sure declining sales have nothing to do with the $37,000 average car price.

Fact: If ever you find yourself having to justify a decision the next day, you made the wrong decision. This applies to all facets of life.

Having kittens is an idiom usually used to indicate being upset or angry, but the rest is spot on. Ridiculous penalty on Vettel. He’s a dick but he got screwed, no arguing that.

The loads on the engine shouldn't be an issue if it is engineered right with properly reinforced structures compared to less powerful 2.0 liter 4-bangers. The fuel is only an issue with most turbo engines if you have a lead foot...sure, less fuel efficient than a non-boosted or lower boosted engine of same

There is more flexibility with a high output turbo motor then a larger displacement one. By reducing boost and adjusting timing and fuel you can essentially get a small turbo 4 to run like a small displacement motor (very fuel efficient) or run like a beast (less efficient but plenty of power). This can all be done

Golf? Gimme a break.

When Tiger Woods won last month at Augusta, all the talking heads were saying it was the “greatest comeback in the history of sports”. The first I thought of was Niki. It will be a very long time if ever before we see someone go from last rights to the grid in six weeks to World Champion in a year.  Heroic stuff.

“whinging”..... it’s Ireland, show some research.

Ferrari’s strategy calls are so off. They take forever to make strategy decisions during the race that by the time they do both LeClerc and Vettel aren’t in any position to take advantage. When they finally let LecLerc past the badly flat spotted tires of Vettel LeClerce got what, 10 laps of clean air to try and chase

They forgot the shifter.

Don’t worry, whether or not I can see you next to me, if an 18 wheeler is barreling towards me, I will make every attempt to move over, even if I put another car into the guard rail. Its human nature.

They need to add them to Baku. That totalitarian state, there are ZERO people on any of the sidewalks, it’s like the race is taking place in an abandoned city.

My ideal modern sports car is close to this.

I don’t think any amount of wheelbase could have stabilized leaping over a foot high kerb!

Now playing

“and the longer wheelbase sedan made a very stable platform.”

I think it has more of a laundering money vibe. They have plenty of cash, but as complex a distribution system as can be imagined; Cans made in England (but you can’t visit the plant? WTF? Proprietary canning tech?),
product made in another country, nothing but addresses for company locations, and yet, tons of money

Every day we stray further from God in pursuit of worldly numbers...

Do these hyper horsepower cars do nothing for anyone else? Like I appreciate the tech and science that goes into this creation but they just feel soulless.

I love Blade Runner, it’s in my top 3, and I LOVED 2049. Denis Villeneuve and company absolutely nailed this one, and I am eternally grateful to him for not sullying the Blade Runner legacy.
