So they’re going to address the dirty air created by the wheels and tires by running dubs?

That makes for a rated 220 HP from the car’s three-cylinder turbocharged engine, and the only transmission option the release listed was a six-speed manual

Seeing Road Atlanta and the events there before and after Panoz, the difference is amazing.   I remember being stunned at the crowd of 40,000 at the first Petit Le Mans.  Now well over 100,000 regularly attend. He was the best thing to happen to American road racing in the last 40 years.

I met Don Panoz and his lovely wife back in 2004 when I happened to stop by the Panoz shop unannounced and managed to wrangle a factory tour by the marketing director.

I think it is more of a message to Vettel. Seb screwed up three times so far this year, three times he should have won and lead the WDC comfortably.

Fascism, futurism, speedy pursuits (like auto racing and aircraft) and the sense of material < > moral superiority were all part of the same aesthetic and intellectual soup in the late 20s and throughout the 30s. There was a notion that the ‘superior” people (classes, “races” whatever) had for too long been held back

Just wanted to say thanks for this series of articles. It’s really nice to have some info on the women who made cars great too. Hope the series goes on!

I replied so I can have something with less interior room, slower, and worse gas mileage. They feel that the higher seating position and AWD are the benefits

My wife and I watched the race and saw the accident. We were horrified and feared the worse, just learning that he was alive made us feel better. My take was that PT was trying to be upbeat and was behaving, not as a reporter, but as a fan and a driver who’s been there. I guess it’s easy to criticize PT now, and I

I’d rather having a bruise racing stripe than a fatality after ejection. Your post should read person not dead because safety system worked as designed.

People are willing to pay stupid money for cars these days, why not buy one of the rarest RS models and be the only one to have one in the US for what, 1/3 of the price of a Singer? Is Seinfeld still collecting Porsches? I mean if I was looking for a rare Porsche to blow my money on I’d have a serious thought about

...you’ll want to turn up your speakers for it.

It’s only stupid and boring if you don’t know how to use it.  Those people who really only understand the loud pedal will never be satisfied with a car like this, one that engages all their senses and skills, senses and skills they haven’t learned to develop and exploit.

This is my kind of race car. The bulk of the mods were handling.

Not only should the loose items be removed, all the organizations I run with require your battery to have a covered positive terminal.

The current internet Bias is that COTA sucks because Hamilton and Marquez have dominated. This is a bad take.

Maybe it can replace Pocono on the calendar...

Off the top of my head there’s Mt. Washington in New Hampshire (the road surface is paved but it’s much narrower and bumpier than Pikes Peak has been since the 19th century) and the Empire Hill Climb in Michigan, which I think I’m not going to be able to make, but maybe.

I swear, with the coming of electrification, I want to see more and more of these retro cars out there.
