You’re talking about “customers” for a free game being pirated. Your argument has no real bearing on the point made.

As I’ve seen mentioned on other comments... Historical accuracy. Most times we see footage of JFK it is typically associated with his assassination. Even when used in a fictional story the assassination was real and it can make sense to show it. Other examples were Wii if you’re speaking to specific events and there

Nope, kill the animals. They’re potentially infected with the X Parasite and need to be exterminated so it doesn’t spread. Since, you know, you just killed all the Metroids (which are predators of the X Parasite)

“When they talk about “white people”, they aren’t talking about you in particular or singling you out.”

Some games have “edgy!” colour font combos that look like reading a Lisa Frank binder cover.

Before anyone starts bitching about SJWs and movements for inclusivity hurting their pretendy-funtimes without remembering that, ultimately, DnD is a game based around cooperation:

I love the Witches but I think how much people like them depends on how interested they are in what he’s parodying.

I spent far too long trying to figure out if the character after Zsasz was from Batman.

Who said we don’t like the idea??

I like Angry Joe. I think he’s a good guy who always has interesting opinions on things that he articulates well.

“He can go have his midlife crisis in peace, and he can interact with his kids when it’s convenient to him and have a family without actually putting any work into it while concentrating solely on himself, like it sounds like he wants.”

I don’t know what he’s whining about tbh. If I was a father, I would love the opportunity to spend every day with my child, watching them grow up, learn, and develop a deeply meaningful bond with them. Even if it meant cleaning up drool, toys, and poop.

Seriously he’s about a week from cleaning out his bank account, buying a sports car & running off with some with someone 20 years younger than him “because he deserves it”. Suck it up sunshine, being the stay at home spouse sucks on so many levels, looking after children is boring & unrewarding much of the time. So

Check in sometime, there are plenty of places to claim. There was the initial land rush, and now things have kind of settled out. People that didn’t show back up lost their claims after several months, leaving good spots here and there.

Same thing happened for me with The Adventure Zone. I hadn’t played in years but now I’m running a semi-regular (okay, we only play every few months, but still) campaign with a bunch of friends who are new to D&D (and for some of them, tabletop RPGs in general).

Your comment reminded me of something. Tangentially related, but it’s a story that is both an oldie and a goodie.

I’m a woman and I work on a gaming console. I love the work that I do, in large part because I grew up gaming. It’s awesome. But my gender and my experience as a gamer also allow me greater and/or different insights than many of my colleagues, who are overwhelmingly men and game only occasionally.

Sierra is (well was) an important gaming company to me for many, many reasons. They, along with Lucasarts, provided the games of my childhood. One of the things that I thought was just amazing was when they went with mouse control instead of typing they started receiving hundreds of letters from severely disabled

To be fair, some people aren’t all that easy to teach to swim. My wife, for example, still cannot swim in her thirties, regardless of multiple attempts to teach her when she was growing up.
