I would say the story lines are pretty much limited to advertising and maybe the sims optionally existing as playable characters in game. There really isn’t any sort of lore in the game. Sims 2 had a decent set of lore in terms of memories and objects, but there aren’t a lot of specific character quest type things.

I think any game that has to be so handholdy that your players can overcome not wanting to think tactically or outside their character sheet would just end up feeling like watching hours of Final Fantasy cutscenes as the dice railroad you through the adventure. If the argument against DnD is ‘we weren’t creative

I am of two minds about this because, yeah, people do get to grow and change and congrats on being 40 and recognizing that holy cow you guys, racism is, like, bad?

I loaded up all the comments that Kotaku would load, Kinja sucks. I word searched “Nazi” and got one out of 316 comments. I word searched “asshole” and got two results, neither referring to Scott specifically.

What’s the going rate for forgiveness then? Is there a graph for how much money you have to donate to erase the bad things you do? Like if you give a million, then a little drug dealing is okay, but you have to donate 10 million or more before you unlock the sexual assault perk? At a million, you get casual racism and

I don’t get why people are licking his boots just because he said he didn’t donate specifically just to harm marginalized communities.

Planning on blowing up your TV, and throwing away your papers as well?

Honestly, this was my favourite expac the first time around, but I’m gonna pass on it this time. I realize now that 90% of my fun came from raiding then, and that’s just not gonna happen this time around.

He’ll have a $50k minimum gofundme up in a week, a bunch of new youtube subs, and at least a year crying on his channel about how silenced women and trans folks are making him, while right wing reactionaries feed him money.

Yeah, back when battlenet shared your real name with people on your friends list (as well as their friends), I spoke in vent and some rando from the raid tracked down my personal facebook and started messaging me. I ended up unfriending everyone so my name wasn’t displayed to randoms.

Yeah, my first guild on Illidan at launch was horrendously racist and sexist. And subsequent guild really didn’t do much to change that experience. Number of times I’ve heard “we can’t say anything, they are top DPS” is fucking ridiculous. Never saw a big progression guild that didn’t have that attitude prevalent in

From one of your resident visually impaired readers... I think my remaining eye just fell out looking at this. No thank you. This is the website equivalent of those kidnapping notes made up of letters in 100 different fonts clipped from magazines.

Very dependent on the game, and two factors. Is is fun, and can I see it. ;)

I saw “Lady AntiBLM” on twitter. Seemed perfect for them, hah,

SWG was probably the last game with a healthy community for me. I was a total non-combat player. I only crafted the whole time I played. I developed a network of people to hunt, gather, entertain, build, guard, and partner with in my various endeavours. I had apprentices that I taught my craft to, and people I learned

I went the cheap route and printed storage boxes on card stock and spent an evening making containers for most things, and using plastic baggies for others. Set up usually is pretty quick since it’s just grabbing a bunch of prepacked stuff for us now.

It’s not as big a deal as you would think. Most maps are fairly small scale, so even a base movement of 2 will get you around them. Some classes are also more movement focused than others, and you can change up your decks if the scenario requires it. It’s just part of playing the game. You get a top and bottom action

You can unlock them through the story, like a PC RPG. A life goal or a scenario may grant you a side quest where you do an escort mission or explore an area and at the end of it, a new class is available. A major mechanic of the game is levelling and retiring characters to play new classes. Obviously there’s nothing

One place I worked, someone used to shit in the halls between cubicles. Couple times a week, the phantom shitter would show up, take a dump in the hall, and leave. On my first day at the same job, I was the only one of three people on the shift who showed up. A second person showed up drunk halfway through the

I played back when the rebirth came out (2013?) as a white mage, but ended up hating healing, finding it really boring. I took a long break and came back only a few months ago. I tried black mage, but the requirement for every dungeon to be focused on movement 98% of the time left me feeling frustrated so I dropped it
