You’re as delusional as he is. First medicare is not free. I paid into it for over 50 years and I still pay monthly premiums.
You’re as delusional as he is. First medicare is not free. I paid into it for over 50 years and I still pay monthly premiums.
you’re right. So delusional. It could never work. Except for almost literally every other developped countries where that worked fine.
“but it will kill the economy”.
No it didn’t.
“but the rich will go away instead of paying taxes”
Yeah? to where ? everywhere else they’ll pay more, or get robbed and killed for their…
I saved for my retirement and invested wisely.
The article never said medicare is free. You paid into it and you are receiving it, yet you complain?
meanwhile no one asked how are we going to pay for these huge tax cuts for corporations and billionaires. But if it’s to help the working class suddenly everyone is a math wizard.
I mean, of course it’s not all going to pass as is... nothing these candidates ever say actually comes true in the way the lay it out in their campaigns.
Ok Boomer.
The nation was founded on the concept of certain inalienable rights. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You cannot have life without healthcare. You cannot have liberty if you’re shackled into debt from healthcare premiums. The pursuit of happiness is inexorably hindered by the shame, fear and…
I’m 30 years old and I used to have to watch episodes of anime in three parts on youtube or, god forbid, go to Suncoast and buy dvds.
No. It’s presenting facts and allowing you to make your own opinion. This is not an editorial, it’s reportage. Years of cable news means you don’t know the difference.
Ok, Boomer.
But seriously - anyone who says they put themselves through college by working is either full of shit, or old. Period.
You simply cannot pay for even the average annual cost of a public university on the wages that a recent high school graduate would make. Even if you lucked out and managed to work 40…
yeah, it was a bit of a surprise for me too when I went on Medicare. They don’t tell you that you still pay a medicare premium to the government, supplemental health care insurance, and a drug plan premium. It’s a lot less than when I was working so not really complaining. It was just a surprise.
Literally nothing you just said contains any persuasive evidence for your claim, and the link you cite is a crock of shit. His evidence, for example, that Bernie’s M4A analysis is flawed, is a link to a fucking tweet where an economist, sight unseen, claims it’s flawed with no evidence. I guess the many other studies…
“Fuck you, I got mine!”
First off, you sound like you are just looking for a fight. That, or you are illiterate? Of course, it is not “free” in the sense that the benefits are/will be ordained by the angels and will flow down from the heavens. “Free” in the context of the article means, “You will not receive a bill.”
I get to use “Ok Boomer!" And how much was college 55 years ago compared to today? Cost of living? Cost of buying a home?
All I did was make a list of the key points from the man’s plan. I think you’re angry at the wrong person.
Good read. Now do similar topic and comparison to Singapore, Hong-Kong, Taipei, and other major cities.
Ouch!
I wish they noted the battery drains on the various offerings, some of these kill battery life, but I’m not about ready to test each one.
Not religious either, but for folks in the H-Tine camp of wanting to having their faith while not being a dick the go it alone strategy removes a lot of the social and communal aspects of a religious fellowship. I’m quite happy with my agnosticism, but that is the big thing religion has going for it - places to be,…
