I don't believe steam causes buns to retract by that degree, it's a vertical stretch of the aspect ratio. Most food photos use this technique. I believe criminally misleading. Bizarrely affects kfc chicken piece photos too! :)

Nothing wrong with iOS6 maps - you're just reading them wrong. These are by far better maps than anyone has seen before.
