I love the Box of Delights! That’s up there with the BBC’s the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
My family watches James Bond movies at Christmas every year. We typically watch at least three in between eating a lot of food and going for walks and playing board games.
I find the matching pyjamas particularly weird. I’m not sure why. Do families really do that? All wear the same pyjamas? Why?
I don’t know. To me, those look like they’re actually _for_ twisting the nipples.
:(
It struck me as odd as well.
Read the headline then spent a short amount of time scanning the candy for penises before remembering that this is a stock photo.

“I’m on...TV?”
I don’t know. I stopped reading the comics just after the prison. So I didn’t get very far. I don’t even remember why I stopped.
They did it with Merle using prosthetics. I’m not saying it looked entirely believable, but they did it.

It’s not a thing in California either, where I grew up. I live in the NE now (where it is very much a thing) and people will mention Columbus Day to me and I’ll think, “That’s in the fall? Right?”
I tried it because we are considering another dog. I was matched with a lovely sounding hound mix named Betty (our dog is also a hound mix), but when I went to the site for the rescue agency, she was nowhere to be found. I tried with a different dog that I also matched with and the same thing happened. Makes me less…
I think that’s what I meant by “and similar” as in - crazy scientist plus audience surrogate companion. I’m pretty sure that Doctor Who was a huge influence on Rick and Morty, based on the extensive amount that has been written on the topic.
I think that Rick and Morty was always supposed to be a bit of a parody of Doctor Who and similar. Especially the very first episode. I thought the clue was in the theme song.
I think that he made it pretty clear he felt immortality was a mixed blessing at best and was also struggling with his decision to give it to Ashildr. It would be selfish of him to take away Clara’s ability to die, and he knows it.
