I actually went to Palo Alto High School and I've never heard a native Californian do either of those things.
I got headaches before the pregnancy and ibuprofen usually got rid of them, but it's possible that you are right and and it was just crazy hormones - they have ceased or at least slowed down in frequency (hopefully!) since I had the baby. Unfortunately hormonal birth control makes me nuts!

I just spent 9 months (had the baby 2 weeks ago) suffering from near daily headaches, avoiding ibuprofen. Acetaminophen never does anything for my headaches, so I just suffered. NOW this study comes out?? D'oh.
