The safety record is actually kind of interesting... They don’t have that many planes and I guess they’d be used to stretching their more limited imports, so the equipment itself might actually be fairly well maintained; especially as an aspect of their country which is ‘exposed’ to the outside regularly.

That depends. There’s a few big developers who have become notable for doing excellent ports. Doubly so for the emerging Linux ports, which is such a ‘new’ platform only a few groups know how to effectively do it.
