Combat radius is a very relative measure. On mission, the F-22 must be clean, with all fuel and weapons stowed internal. Very good article. I came to this conclusion a while ago. For me, cost was the biggest concern, plus Canada's prime mission- to patrol its east, west and northern borders (mostly the latter) is more suited to a 2-pilot, twin engine platform...
