I imagine most people hate you.

Every game? What about every mobile app that advertises a pokemon game and then turns out to be like a screen with nothing on it? Millions of apps like that. Do fanmade games count? What about fanmade mods? Does every single sprite hack of Super Mario World count, even the ones that don't appear to change a pixel but

Game of the f*cking generation:

It helps keep you twitchy mentally. It's not necessary per se, but play enough of the game and I bet you'd find yourself doing it too. Also I think RTS style controls in games and bad pathing go hand in hand. I can't tell you how many times I've had to keep clicking in the same spot when my guy decides to get hung on

Thats why I called them "liberal, college educated pony-tails." It is pretty safe to think that what he is saying to them is something many of them already know and agree with. I think the audience that needs to hear this are the investors who decide which games to pour their money into or the customers who choose

I don't want to sound like his speech isn't the right message. It is. But he is speaking to the wrong audience. Giving a speech like that in front of a room full of liberal, college educated pony-tails is really bordering on pandering. Why not give that same speech to a room full of investors? Or how about at PAX to a

I saw "coolest character creation" and couldn't click the link fast enough.

That zoom/speed/blur/whatever graphical effect hurts my head, that's so awful.

Thanks. This helped in deciding which MMO to choose. Staying away from this one. It's not about whether a person should have $12 in their account, but bad customer relations that lacks insight; preventing players from using their already purchased game with one month included. Forgivable if they warned before

So - I buy the game as a gift - enabling the recipient to enjoy 30 days of game time - to see if they like it or not before proceeding. I should NOT have to worry that they HAVE to make a payment before they can play the gift I just gave them. There you go - there's devil's advocate to those raging on the poor bastard

No. Not at all. When your current subscription, THEN they charge you and it cycles again. This is essentially charging you for the next month in advance before even the current free 30 days is over. FFXIV:ARR doesn't even automatically charge you cause it never asks for your info until the beginning free 30 days end.

If he's already paid for the game and is supposed to have a free month, there should be nothing to bar him from using that month. A credit card shouldn't be necessary to use it.

Unsurprising that customers get burned on what was always a massive cash-in. This had 'fleece everyone for six months to pay for the development then go f2p, then shut down' written all over it. I feel bad for those that hoped for more, but let's be honest it was pretty naive.

Its like they want people to dislike their game.

Your condescending attitude and eagerness to brag about your credentials to total strangers on the internet belies your age and/or maturity level. No one gives a shit about your masters degree, your book, or your films. It has no bearing on the merits pf your anti-TV post, which was a cliche, boilerplate rant that

So, were you born this smug or did it just happen?

I wish I could use a time machine to go back and un-read this comment.

Everytime I hit a bush on my motorcycle, I go flying... not my bike o_O

Rotate it a few degrees and I'd be a lot more impressed.
