Fuck yeah. Awesome to see you back at it, Mike.

Awesome.

Eh... i thought it was pretty tame.

A phonetic filter like this is nothing new or magical. Its not used because its too broad and also blocks a lot of non-offensive language.

Inconcievable.

Trolling has nothing to do with enjoying hearing the words youre trolling with. If the word “puppies” pissed people off, theyd troll with that. Turns out racist slurs offend people a lot so they use those.

The code sounds so broad that it would probably also eliminate a lot of non-foul language though.

Why are you assuming hes orchestrating anything?

The Witcher can in no way be called a straight up porn game.

There have been situations of 3D porn games getting removed from Steam as well. It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the fact that Valve differentiates between games that contain nudity/sex and games that wholly revolve around it (ie. “sex games”, albeit with images of sex removed).

No, people get angry bacause they assume, fairly or not, that those writers are there because their meatsacks are of a darker hue and/or their genitals are on the inside. Any color is fine, it just shouldnt play any role in the hiring process.

Some companies do adhere to some sort of diversity quotas. Its becoming quite common, some actively brag about it. Particularly in film and TV.

The people she responds to are not the only people who read her responses.

The only thing that would have made that quote any better would be if it ended with, “...because mine involves writing for my favorite god-damn tv show, bitch. What have you accomplished lately??”

True. On the other hand, he obviously wouldnt work for free so him working on the show in some capacity is not inconcievable.

However, that could easily be expanded without changing much about the setting as a whole.

Did you refer to Azar Javed by they so as to not assume his gender?

Probably because most of those instances or arab-inspired cultures are from the games, not the books. The show is based on the books and the games are not considered book canon.

though it’s perfectly fine for writers of different backgrounds to be involved. To suggest otherwise would certainly imply some level of racism, I think.

Its definitely easy enough to introduce a character of color, its concievable in the universe, but if theyre going to adhere to the books, as the showrunner says she will, i dont think there would be any major characters of color in it. It will be interesting to see how they handle it.
