I honestly think they were going to vote for him no matter who ran against him, Jesus himself could have ran against the Turtle of Doom and would have lost. They seem to like this soulless ghoul of a human for some reason

That may be one silver lining - if there’s no constant white house reality show buffoonery taking up headlines every 10 seconds of the day, people might be able to pay attention to what the Senate is doing.

Each time the Senate blocks anything that helps people, the Democrats have to remind everyone what is happening.  Put so much pressure on Moscow Mitch that his shell collapses.

I really don’t get Kentucky, Mitch literally looks worse than the weird corpse-like Palpatine from the Rise of Skywalker. The dude literally looks like he’s going to collapse.

It is so depressing watching this unfold. There seems to be little to no consequences for these horrible people. I thought with the high turnout we would have a good night. Turns out a lot of people still really like Trump and his cronies. After all that they have done.

That is the silver lining. Someone said last night on kinja that Trump with a blue Senate was better than Biden with a red senate. I disagree. Nothing much will get done, but nothing bad will happen either? At least Barr, and Miller, and DeVos, and everyone else will be gone. But of course, in 4 years Republicans…

A reminder that California has 2 senators representing roughly 39 million people, the same number as Wyoming representing about 580,000, in fact it would take the 22 least populated states and their 44 senators to equal California’s population and their 2 senators. Overall, the current senate “majority” represents…

Maybe not, but will Democratic-inclined voters show out without Trump on the ballot to vote against?

McConnell knows his clock is running out, and that he’s got a particularly warm spot in hell waiting for him.  He’s going to try to drag the rest of us down with him before he punches his card.
