While screens aren't great for the eyes, the increase in eye surgery doesn't mean much. It's getting more and more affordable all the time. People who would've just worn glasses or contacts all their lives are now deciding they don't want to do that since they have an option now.

A correction from someone who lives in Japan - it's not rude to talk to strangers. Just the Japanese, culturally, are more introverted than Americans. So the person may feel a bit uncomfortable talking to a complete stranger.

"Anyone who has 3 digit speeds is just wasting money."

Internet speeds is definitely one thing I'm going to miss about Japan when I have to move back to the US.

I generally don't think a game is too long if I'm enjoying it a lot! Sure, it can sometimes take me weeks or months to beat an RPG because of Work and Adult Responsibilities, but that's OK.

I'm glad Tabata-san is reading the comments, but since Google Translate doesn't do a great job Japanese -> English or vice versa, just because Japanese and English are constructed so differently, I hope he can understand what people were actually trying to say. ^_^;;

Separate post since this is a question. For Resident Evil 2, is there any difference between the original and the Dual Shock version other than the DS version adding DS controls? For some reason, the DS version is more expensive used than the original here in Japan and I just bought the original. I don't care if it

Capcom was on the re-release bandwagon way before Square ever was. How many times has Street Fighter 2 been released now? :/

I bought the PC version of RE a long time ago because I wanted to see it uncensored. It's neat to see the game in all its cheesy, B-horror movie glory. It actually works up through Windows XP. I still haven't tried to install it on Windows 7 (don't have 8/8.1 yet), so I don't know if I can still play it anymore,

I don't care about the faceplates. I just like the smaller size. I still have an original 3DS and never got an XL because I like the smaller size.

In Japan, when crime is rare enough that you even hear of grannies profusely apologizing to cops for speeding, I'm not surprised that it's a big thing now even though his crimes are very petty.

Exactly. I think people get confused by terms.

Except you're not going to get better than that unless they rebuild the game from the ground up - kinda like Resident Evil PS1 versus Resident Evil Gamecube. Very few companies bother to do complete remakes to that calibur because of the time and development costs required.

I feel like Fatal Frame has an extremely low probability of being announced. Like near zero. I could be surprised though!

I need to know - does that chocolate randoseru cost more than a real randoseru? Hey, it's possible. Especially if it's made by Godiva. It it's Godiva, probably the strap alone is more than a randoseru. -_- Frickin' luxury chocolates.

As a Shokotan fan and a person who has never seen any Bruce Lee movies, that bit always reminds me of Shokotan. Kid's just missing the fuzzy pink nunchuks that she always uses.

I'm happy about this. Really. I just want a way to get new plastic guitars again without paying an arm and a leg for used ones on eBay. After having to be moved in the summer in a shipping container on a ship across oceans TWICE in the past 5 years, all of my plastic guitars are dead or dying. :(

Broken games aren't new. They existed in earlier generations. The upside of now I guess is that games are patchable. I do agree though that they shouldn't have to rely on patches post-release to fix problems that they KNOW exist but didn't have time to fix due to aggressive release deadlines.

Glad to see WIXOSS as one of the should've been recommended. I really enjoyed season 1. I haven't watched season 2 yet. I wait until a season is done before I watch a show because I like marathoning, at least a few episodes a day. I don't like the whole 1 episode a week (or more, in Sailor Moon Crystal's case) thing.

Sorry, I have to disagree on mosh pits. As a fan of Babymetal, the Japanese metal/pop idol hybrid group, I purposely buy tickets that get me an actual, honest to goodness seat. I don't do that mosh pit nonsense. I will say the cool thing about Babymetal's mosh pit is it's different from regular mosh pits. In addition
