Something I like about Chaika is that I really liked Scrapped Princess, but Chaika improved on it IMO. Pacifica (Scrapped Princess' Chaika equivalent) is fairly useless. At least Chaika can fight and defend herself. The mystery of Chaika and her farther and other things going on is also more interesting than the

Scorpions have anger management issues. I once had one in my house crawling around on the carpet (when I lived in Hawaii). I put a clear drinking glass over top of it and was trying to slide a coaster underneath to scoop it up and put it outside. The scorpion got angry that I put the glass over it and started trying

Pikachu is growing a neck. This is wrong. Pikachu isn't supposed to have a neck. No neck is cute. Even nature agrees.

At least the advantage of Japan being obsessed with Frozen is that I usually hear Let it Go (Japanese version obviously) in stores instead of AKB48 songs. At least, for now. I'm sure they'll go back to AKB48 soon enough. :/

I had an active duty female Marine at the last place I worked. She was tiny but extremely fit. She and her couple of other female Marine buddies like to call themselves "the fewer and the prouder." She was a super smart lady and pretty badass. She probably could've kicked the butts of some of my co-workers if she

I like Converse, but they wear out so fast. It's not worth $200. Even if I really, really want the Bowser ones. :(

Not very excited about these shows. It feels like all of the good stuff is being saved for the fall season. And there's a LOT of good stuff coming in the fall from what I know. The ones in particular I'm looking forward to is ufotable's version of Fate/Stay Night, Hitsugi no Chaika season 2, and KanColle (just because

You know, situations like that always amuse me about Japan. If a guy walked around as Ultraman in the US, people would stare and ask questions. In Japan, most Japanese people will walk by pretending they didn't see the weirdo.

Japanese walls are super thin, so they can take earthquakes easier with no to little damage. A tiny building like that was probably nothing to those winds. Just pushed it over pretty much!

I'm hoping that typhoon doesn't hit Tokyo. Literally right next to my house, there is a house in the very, very beginning stages of being built. As in, the foundation was just poured last week. Today, they put a ton of plywood on the property. Because this is Tokyo, land of no yards and tiny spaces around your house,

I used to have a celebrity crush on David Duchovny when X-Files was airing. I don't really have any celebrity crushes at the moment.

He does that in the manga too in the first chapter. It was just the original anime that had him walking around in regular street clothes. Makes more sense for him to wear regular clothes though!

Just finished watching. It was OK. I don't care for the art style of this show. I guess I'll have to get used to it. I'm interested to see how it compares to the original anime and the manga later on.

Agreed with this. Since I'm living in Japan right now, it's irritating that I can't watch a lot of internet streaming sites, except YouTube and NicoNico. I use Hola to get around region blocking.

You know, the pictures are one thing, but watching the video is entirely different. From the pictures, it looked like it could've potentially been reasonable. But in the video, the way he was crying, he sounded like a 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum.

You can make it match. I have a Macbook Pro. I took some black electrical tape, used a hole punch to make a little circle of tape, and put it over the camera. It matches the black border around my screen area exactly, so it's hard to see that it's there.

I just want Nintendo to stop putting the stupid Health and Safety booklet with everything. It's killing trees for something that's not even useful. I guess it might be when you get it the first time, but many gamers have eleventy copies of it.

Doesn't always work. My alarm clock doesn't light up naturally. You can push a button on it to see the numbers in the darkness, but otherwise, you can't read it. The fact that I can't read my clock doesn't help my insomnia.

Hawaii is the only place I've seen 'em in the US. Hawaii has the same giant flying cockroaches that are in Asia.

Not worth it. It took 2 months after Lightning Returns came out to get my pre-ordered Collector's Edition because Digital River failed. I'm sticking with Amazon, thanks.
