This is a hell of a deal. In the US they usually go for a bit more, but in the EU they are 2-3x the price. So for $2800 he could buy it, export it to the EU and triple his $.

Not so long ago one of the dominate rally cars was a Hyundai Tiberon. The problem being the production car is FF, and the rally car is custom 4wd.

Awesome. Amazing. I need to follow this. With all the accents in your name, are you in the Europe anywhere?

How far deep into Ukrainian territory were they when this occurred?

There are quite a few around — I’ve seen about a half-dozen since I’ve been in Belgium 8 months. Some are sold via Chevy-Europe (look at my other post with the maroon Citation) and others were brought over by US Service members and then resold to locals.

There was a Citroen Jumpy parked out front one night and it had a decal from “Spa Francorchamps” on the back. I can’t find my picture, though.

Not on eBay, but I've been using 2ememain ( Belgian criagslist ) since I moved here.

I've never heard of CC Mason before. But good for Ben Collins.

Go look at my oppositelock posts about Belgian car taxes. *shudder*

Don't get me started.

Really? I thought R-Tronic = DSG, lifted straight from the VAG parts bin (just with beefier internals.)

R-tronic DSG (dual clutch.) Not a traditional slushbox.

This has to be one of the only ones left. That alone makes it a "rare" survivor. I remember watching the ads for these cars growing up.

They were talking about this on the BBC. Note, I'm a US ex-pat living in Belgium and within 2 hours driving distance to Paris. We drove there in our 2002 BMW 520d over Christmas, a week before the attacks.

If we can find the original photos with EXIF data we can hopefully narrow down where this car is...

Alpine A610 — RR, turbo, water-cooled and French built. What could go wrong?

We may not, but we may be coordinating info from groups Jordan doesn't talk to (Mossad, GCHQ, etc.)

while US F-22s, F-16s, surveillance and tanker aircraft supported them.
