If you’re gonna craft, wood eggs are a better yield.

Call someone up at the food bank and open up the gates.  Tell them they can keep everything they pick.  A few pick-up trucks a week should meet demands.

Now THIS is the shittiest take.

The problem is combing through the entire map to find them with a bunch of decoys everywhere.  The eggs are a complete waste of time.

A lot of people signed up during the enrollment period.

Not a day goes by when I’m not entirely relieved I gave up on trying to be a game developer.

I’m not so convinced. Consoles take up horizontal space because entertainment centers tend to have a lot of horizontal space.

You’re saying that out of hundreds of DIY recipes in the game, your wife landed on the exact 18 recipes needed to build the houses in less than a day? Let’s say I’m incredulous.

I went with “Den Isle”, as it describes my current world-view at the moment.

But those aren’t the important recipes. The recipes you get are the only ones to progress the island development. The recipe she gets are just for decoration.

Gotta rep my Coyotes.

You’re entirely missing the point. It’s not that there’s stuff “both can do”. It’s that Player 2 can’t progress anything on the map without Player 1.

They can donate until it hits 15.  They can’t donate anymore until the first player comes back to do more stuff.

It’s not collaborative. The other players have no say in the matter. One person gets to do all the work. The other person gathers rocks and wood. All the missions are locked behind player 1. If player 1 stops playing, every other player has to stop.

You can buy the tool recipes. You can’t buy any of the other ones. You get a dozen free recipes from Tom Nook by completing events, and he has no access to them. You need these recipes to start building houses. All he can do is collect rocks, and then I do all the interesting work like crafting the items and placing

You can have a second pokemon save by setting up a second user.  That’s easy to do, and that’s what most people expect.

I wonder if it’ll get you banned from online play.

If it’s part of the progression quest, yes.  The main player must be the one to donate to start the museum construction.  Otherwise, they can donate once the museum is built.

This ruined the game for me. I was planning on enjoying this game with my husband. The local coop and sharing the island sounded like a great time.

Yup.  Only the person who starts the island gets to do any of the progression objectives.
