Are you going to continue on through 6 and 7? I came in late to the series, at 7 and the Underworld games, but I loved everything that made 7 different from other games and how you were given freedom to explore the world and take part in it. I keep hoping for a spiritual sequel as we all know an actual one will never

Too many to go into detail, but I have loved this genre for a long time. No one game has had everything I love or want, but many of them have nailed aspects of it.

Starflight was an amazing game and I would love an updated version of it. Take the same game mechanics and apply it to something like NMS’ planets and Star Citizen’s ships and I’d be a happy camper for a long time.

SoD was great and really nailed the survival and risk vs. reward aspects. Knowing your character could permanently die made each fight more intense and made your preparation critical. How much you took vs how much you risked if you died, etc.

ICYMI, initially, at launch, the game CTD’ed right after the HG logo. After the first experimental patch hit, it got as far as the star field, then CTD’ed, I am guessing, at the point where the game would go white screen/load planet. First issue was caused by Phenom II having SSE4a instead of SSE4.1 support. Second

Was this after the update to experimental on the 16th? They patched that branch twice yesterday and I was able to play the game just fine. A huge improvement in performance over the SDE emulation that I had to use over the weekend.

And it’s been fixed. Now shows up at $135

It’s an odd price as it only applies for size 10 in that very specific color.

Ha. Crackdown removed to the post conference montage. Otherwise, this was a pretty good set of reveals.

I read the Worlds trilogy and while it is an interesting series with a vastly different end from it’s beginning, it’s almost too much of an arc. I put it on the same level as Kim Stanley Robinson’s Mars trilogy for how vastly it changes over the three books. I have also read The Accidental Time Machine and recommend

This is the fourth time that Volition has disappointed me. One, when they made the amazing Freespace 1 and 2 and then never went back to the genre (also, FU Interplay for camping the IP). Two, when they did the same with Summoner. Three, abandoning Red Faction and for RF:A in particular. Four, for taking Saints Row

I love the look and the Crusader: No Remorse vibe I am getting.

If only they had cases for HTC....

Glad you mentioned the black screen loading. I ran the game just fine the first time, but the last two days have been getting that. I’ll try that and the overlay disable.

I took it one further. Turned off the object highlighting, the button prompts, the waypoint markers, the health bar and XP notifications, etc. basically disable anything that shows up on the screen that is not explained by the hunter vision or through visual/audio cues. I’m finding the game so much more enjoyable. It

I remember this game and played it a lot in the day. Long game, but I finally beat it.

I have two sets to build this year, Legod willing. First up is this beautiful beast that I just got from a brother in law who scored two years ago on a clearance.

Of all heroic themes in gaming, none were better than MGS 2. It evokes the silent sneaking in the opening, follows it up with the thrill of the chase and gunfights, then breaks out a slow, conspiratorial melody. It builds up again to the main theme through a march, and ends on this choral/symphonic crash.

I love Elfman’s theme most of all. It was so good it makes the Nolan trilogy themes completely forgettable.
