Hard to believe that just a month after Witcher 3 comes another great open world game that looks solid. Glad that after AK, there won’t be much out for a while.

Maddy, you are a massive troll for this and I love you. Also, for bringing this abomination of CGI to my attention, you have forever destroyed my dreams.
I had a similar burnout on JRPG's around FF XII. That had the distinction of being the last one I got more than a few hours in before bailing on. I tried Lost Odyssey (burned out before first major boss). It wasn't just modern games either. I retried Chrono Trigger on the DS and just could not keep interested.
I've been playing on Vita. According to my player stats, I've got a few hours of gameplay. I've finished about 6 planets (between 12-18 community influence points). The Heroes of the war (or what have you) displays 0 points, 0 mission time. Not as bad as a character wipe, but annoying.
Glad that someone posted this. Not another game quite like it, although you can see the occasional nod. Dead Island had limb damage/decapitation and analog combat, but not to the extent of DBtS's mouse control.
2 early items that were taught me the value of a good review and patience.
I'm loving this whole mix up of memes now.

This is great. I love that it went on for so long. I bet he changes the character limits now.
Oh, that's brilliant. As a fellow grey, I salute you.
It isn't quite the same here without him reviewing all the wacky gaming and non-gaming WTF items and I don't see him doing that over at Polygon.
I had the same idea, but guessing that grey status kept me hidden until it was too late.
I am excited to see how the team progresses as after Tate and Harvin left, it looked like we might need more time to adjust, but they did a hell of a job pulling together once Wagner came back. Now we face similar hurdles as Russell will be making his paycheck (finally) and how do you not try to keep Lynch after this…
Brady was just on fire and kept the game alive for the last quarter. Seattle defense could not contain him or capitalize when they had him against 3rd and long. He deserves that win and the ring.
Pats won, we lost. It's pretty much the same. We owned the 2nd and 3rd quarter and the start of the fourth, then we let Brady walk up the field and score twice unanswered. That's the lead up to losing and I kept asking why they lost the momentum they had. It happens.
This game has kept me up the last few nights, both playing and after I stop. Here's a few tips that I haven't seen mentioned.
It is very satisfying and the sense of reward when you make it back over the fence with a few volatiles chasing you is unlike any other. If your tolerance for anxiety and downright scary situations is high, you will enjoy this.
I noticed this as well. It's an early exploit that lets you clear out a ton of basic things without worrying about nightfall. Secure all the safehouses you can, run side missions and look for random spawns, hunt down crafting materials and plants, etc. You might call it cheating the system, but the game is plenty…
Combine this with the grapple and you can basically make a heap of dead bodies all stuck into the traps.
I love that they put this into the game. It gives them a great plausible reason to have both types and hearing what would normally be the sound of a nearby victim is great to throw you off your game for a moment.
