@Jones Foyer: I a guy that owned a Mercury Sable with it, and the code was written on the truck arm insude. We used to mess with this guy always re-arranging the mirror, seat and temp controls. I don't think we ever told him, because techically we were breaking into his car!

@IFTNFS: Problem is where I live, it just becomes another area where rust forms...and another electronic thing that can screw up.

@Cpt. Morgan: I guess it's a good thing if you have it...but this is 2010, not 1987. Modern Keyfobs are small, and some higher end cars just use bluetooth keycards. I have never had a situation where I thought man, I need a keypad on my door!

@Spasticteapot: To me their latest problem was back around 2004-2006 when the economy was a lot better than it was today.

@Issoa442: Most people I know that have nitrous installed, put the arming(power) switch on the dash and the nitrous kicks in on wide open throttle.

@My X-type is too a real Jaguar: Yes I remember that it was armed then you pushed the button on the shifter. My problem is when I am going 150mph and want to outrun a helicopter. I would like two hands firmly on the wheel!

This Keypad for entering your vehicle without a key...

Loved the Eleanor Mustang...But really?

@Spasticteapot: I have grown up in a family that has worked at auto plants that are unionized and can assure you that wages have never reached $45/hour. That is most likely a combined wage/benefit/pension you might be talking about...or perhaps the hourly wage when someone is working overtime(1.5x base pay)

@Spasticteapot: Actually they do assemble economy cars by hand today. Go into any factory in the final assembly stages and you will see undreds...if not thousands of people putting things together by hand.

Fastest car I have ever driven was a '94 Toyota Supra Turbo...I never drove to the limit, but it was a beast.

@Pessimippopotamus: It wasn't really disastrous, other than for the workers of the plant. GM pulled out, then Toyota couldn't sustain building at 80% capacity...thats how it happened.

@GV_Goat: You're right. But if you consider that back in the twenties, there were a few electric city cars that could keep up with their gasoline counterparts pretty well. If electric powered vehicles continued to be researched/engineered/deveoloped... we would have batteries that could get us pretty much everywhere

@FauxReal: How about the $300+ Monster Power Center...guarantees "Clean Power" so your television picture will be crisper, sharper, and more lifelike?

@m2m: Everything costs more in Europe, my old Mazdaspeed3 was something like €45,000 in some Scandinavian countries. European countries place a heavy VAT fees on cars. For that reason, I would be driving a Ford Ka 1.2!

@Spasticteapot: It would destroy a 370z...even the 135i gives it a good run for the money. But the Mustang 5.0...thats another story. Nothing for the money comes anywhere near the brutal performance of the new Mustang. And ad 10k worth of mods to a Mustang, and you will have a car faster than anything under

@pauljones: Problem is finding one in an unmolested state. So many of these cars were owned by Bro's of the past, and they beat on them like their girlfriends.

@duurtlang: Many European countries have a tax levy based on engine size. I would rather a 2.0 turbo over the old R32...its lighter in the front and will handle better.
