In Trinidad and Tobago, investigations are much more civilized. Potential indictees are given plenty of warning; in return, the potential indictee demonstrates sincere gratitude through gifts, favors, etc. It’s all about respect and dignity, you see.
I don’t mind flowers, not that I get them much. I usually buy my own; I’m a sucker for tulips.
Right??
There are very, very good reasons to prohibit these liaisons, above and beyond sexuality, responsibility and social mores; e.g., example, the possibility of biased evaluations of a student’s work or outright academic fraud.
My pre-WWII generation parents taught me and my sister to a) work hard and look forward to a career; and b) always turn off the radio when ‘needy’ romantic pop songs came on. “I’m not raising my girls to cry about ‘needing’ a man,” I remember my dad saying, gruffly.

And the only people who can put an end to the culture of pointless death marches are the employees. The companies they’re working for have no incentive to change the status quo.
Whoa. That's just... Wow.
That man loves his family.
