I'm one which did splurge on a casing and never regretted it. For countries which can get humid, do spending a little extra for a aluminium casing, SECC or cheap steel will oxidise easily and make your case looks gross within a couple of years. Good casing can lasts generally forever.

Depending on where you stay, onsite support for branded computers can be a real time saver.

Rubbing alcohol also melts some plastics as well, so if you see some colours coming off you might want to try something else.

Alcohol is not always the best choice for some cases.

And if for some reason you need to clean out the brush if you use it for some greasy stuff, bleach will do the job perfectly.

If you keep a zoom lens for DSLR you can always use a compact for all the wide shots

Soak it with some diluted vinegar to remove the smells.
