I'd like to see that too — especially the extent to which they understand the male gaze.

That those qualities (grown up, confident, having fun) might have been on the kids' minds is just conjecture on my part, informed in part by having an elementary school aged daughter.
I'm not sure the parsing that the researchers have done is the same parsing of the images that the six year olds were doing.
A little compassion goes a long, long way doesn't it? It shouldn't be as rare as it is.
I read an article a few years ago (http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Eyes-Dont-Lie—-Reading-People-By-Eye-Movements&id=802751) that said people's eyes move based on what parts of their brains they're using.
When I was about 13 years old I saw Richard Pryor's masterpiece "Live in Concert"
I don't go deep with EDs, but my understanding is that the body hatred that goes with EDs can sometimes be strongly correlated to anxiety about sex and sexual expression.
I don't completely understand the way some women chase after ladykiller types, or go after married men, because it doesn't appeal to me. But then, I'm not a highly competitive person (even less so when it comes to relationships).
I read an interesting bit recently that asked (straight) men and women if they found a partner more or less attractive based on whether, in the person's previous relationship, they were dumped or dumped their partner.

Also: in the winter, my feet are icy, icy cold.
Non car ownership is probably more prevalent among younger people because urban dwellers now have car share options like Zipcar and the like.
I would love to smell like an elephant who has just had her mind blown by something. I imagine it would be a little spicy and woodsy, but with a lot 'fresh air' scent.
The guy who runs Penzey's Spices says in his "word from the founder" bit in the catalog that people who cook food for others are people that want the world to be a kinder place. That's my justification for the anxiety baking I do.
People concerned about the (presumed) kid getting shamed: I'm reasonably certain Amanda Bieber isn't her real name.
Besieged, beleaguered, and besotted is the new "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered".
I think maybe she meant "beleaguered"? That would make more sense.
That's New Wave hair, folks. And if you shave the other side, you get a mohawk/mullet hybrid, which is awesomely 80s New Waver too.
