That's how we felt, too. Moving to the suburbs was kind of like a culture shock. Thankfully, we got to know our neighbors right away. Our neighbors are pretty awesome! Of course, there are some that suck (but that's everywhere). I hope you find a place that you and your family will love!

Depends where you live. Downtown, Houston is very expensive. Even houses in not-so-great neighborhoods are a bit expensive. Living in the suburbs is much cheaper than living in the city. He's always had that accent, in my opinion. That's an authentic Texan accent (I live in Texas, by the way). Our accent isn't as thick as those from the Deep South (I don't care what movies/TV say).
