Really great points! Arrow Season 2 was excellent, and Flash Season 2 was average. Arrow Season 3 was terrible. Let’s hope Flash Season 3 is unlike Arrow Season 3.

Possible spoiler for the show: I don’t think she will be a faceless man. I think she is going to leave, which they hinted to when she didn’t throw away needle last season. They filmed a scene where the waif chased Arya through the city, and I don’t believe we have seen it yet. Seems to match up with what they were…
True, or GRRM could have come up with ‘Hold the Door’ as a result of those memes, making Hodor more important than intended! The memes killed Hodor! Or not...LOL
Don’t feel too bad about getting upset. You weren’t the only one. Time loops caused by time travelers who use tree roots to see/experience the past in a series where it takes characters a full book to get around the Riverlands is a WTF moment. And yes I realize there are wargs, dragons, blood magic and resurrections,…
I agree. Shows/stories that use time travel when it is unnecessary is very frustrating. I have never been all in on the Bran story line in the books. It felt so different from the rest of it. The idea that he could ‘see’ into the past seemed like it would be useful, so we could finally figure out some of the mysteries…
I was late! I don’t think I can go the ‘wait until the books are out to finish the show’ road some of the die hards are taking though. I would like to know what happens before the 2030's...
Trust me, I didn’t have a shred of sympathy either, until last night. It must be hard when you are a slow writer to watch the show just rip through story that takes you months (years!) in weeks. LOL.
Interesting theory. They may try to manipulate Bran, especially with the ability to walk again, but he seems a little too pure for a full heel turn. He did possibly eat Jojen though...
Hahaha, perhaps not.
I don’t think pausing is the right thing to do either, but having to watch other people use your twist before you do has to be a little strange. I’m wondering if he will hold out some information or change things just to be different from the show, which could turn out better or worse than intended.
I don’t remember the horse part. Could be correct or one of his false narrator tricks.
No doubt it worked great on TV, but imagine having to spoil yourself. It must be frustrating.
As GoT’s plot crept closer to surpassing the books, I began to be annoyed with GRRM. He would insinuate to the press or fans at conventions that he was irritated that GoT would not wait for him. In my mind it was his fault. He was always at some convention or on a talk show, he was getting paid, and seemed to be…
Great point as it is all about the framing. The questions seem to be fair though.
This is exactly what I was thinking. The art does not make her look Asian, she looks ethically ambiguous. Also the story (that I remember, it has been awhile) doesn’t point her out to be of any race either.
Any links to this? I haven’t heard this theory, but would love to read more. Thanks.
How do you write out the leader of the 12 clans w/out death? People say it was a trope, but don’t offer solutions. Yeah they could have had her exiled blah, blah, blah. That would have been lame. For a true transition of power and to unveil the AI plot the commander NEEDED to die.
Plus the plot line with the AI ‘commander’ is SO much more interesting now. This outcry is absurd. It wasn’t just killing a lesbian character, they did it for offshow reasons and on show reasons as well. People should be getting mad about how they have done Bellamy’s character a huge disservice this season.
You can recap with opinions though, which is what IO9 did so well. That would facilitate a discussion, which leads to better comments, etc. etc. I guess it is back to avclub and reddit.
Any of the Star Wars related posts bring in more views. Show that to the bosses. When you don’t have Star Wars posts, I would bet recaps of “less” watched shows by Nielsen ratings (super flawed), have longer stay times because people comment and read all the comments.
