Actually, not all doctors say that sodium is dangerous (unless you're talking like... the pure metal, which yeah, dangerous). In fact, a number of studies have shown that those with lower-sodium diets are at higher risk of heart disease than those eating higher-sodium diets.

But is it worth $5?

Yeah, I'm sure there's a reason (every villain is the hero of their own story and all), but I think a lot of the reason is in the past, and just gets passed along from person to person.

Here's the thing... Deaf people (obviously, this is a generalization) are kinda assholes. I don't mean this in a purposely-offensive-to-be-funny way. Many people in the deaf community almost see hearing as a handicap. They can be fiercely tribal as far as deaf vs hearing is concerned, and are often pretty bigoted

Umm... How is this so bad? They recorded information that was publicly "visible". It's not like this is secret data that they farmed from their customers and released (which *would* be bad).

Hmmm... I can't speak for Lion's SMB server function (but I haven't noticed any issues in the several months I've been running Lion). I just know that it's SMB client beats the crap out of Samba (in Snow Leopard and below).

That didn't really answer ifandbut's question. Sure, there are a lot of games on there. Which are good? I sure see a lot of cross-platform games on there, which aren't selling points for either OS. I don't think I've ever heard anyone try to make the case that Android has better exclusive games. Please feel free to

If you're having issues connecting to SMB shares in Snow Leopard, Lion will pretty much completely fix them. For that reason alone, I'm updating (actually, already running the GM, but still gonna buy a retail copy).

Yup. Places like rite aid will let you sign up your pet for their discount plans, too. No charge most of the time, and I went from paying $50/mo for my cat's blood pressure meds at the vet, to $8.95/mo at rite aid.

I used to do this with styrofoam cups. It leaves a super-thin layer of styrofoam (the rest melts/shrinks).

Note: Spirit is *not* a universal app. There's no iPad-native version.

I dunno... If the chair was metal, and the cord was hooked to the chair... wouldn't the current just run through the chair (being the path of least resistance)?

Umm... Okay?

1) There's pretty much nothing "natural" about real sugar. It's a chemical product, processed out in a factory somewhere. Add to this the fact that most "sugar" in soda these days is HFCS, and the "naturalness" gets pretty hard to see.

Um, have you READ observational studies these days? Lots and lots and lots of them (especially when it comes to nutritional science) make bold causational (is that a word?) claims based on correlation.

Nope, that's exactly the problem with this (and most observational studies). As always, correlation doesn't imply causation.

I didn't see the full article on the link provided (or on google scholar), but I sure loves me some human dietary research done on rats.

Here comes the spec work!
