Its why life expectancy took a nosedive when we cultivated grains. Only in the last centuryor so has medical science advanced enough to really offset the damage done to our health by agriculture.

Of course they did. They're part of the problem.

Technically, yes, the ADA requires restaurants to have their menus in braille.

Seriously. It's brilliant. I love it.

Thanks! :)

While I appreciate the effort gone to here, I prefer the "Superman has one power" theory:

I actually tried downloading ComicReader Mobi this way. No dice, so I guess it doesn't work for every pulled app.

Actually, that's a bit of a myth. For an admittedly biased, but well-researched take on ancient human life spans, see here: [donmatesz.blogspot.com]

I'm an actual developer, and I haven't been able to get it to work via the "Update" button. I had to restore my iPad (wiping it entirely). Kept getting error 3002. Suuuuuucks.

Why We Get Fat is great. Fat Head has a great message, but the low production values really hurt that message, IMO.

Yup, they add sugar to just about everything these days. Stick to meat, fruit, and vegetables, and you'll be good to go.

Lactose is a sugar (just look for the "ose" at the end of a word. "ose" = sugar) that will increase your insulin levels like any sugar would, but at least one study has shown that milk tends to increase your insulin levels more than expected based on the amount of sugar in it, so there's something else going on there,

Honey is about 40% fructose and 30% glucose. It tends to spike your blood sugar (and resultant insulin levels) pretty well. It contains trace vitamins and nutrients, but not really anything worth mentioning.

Since you can use iOS without a PC at all, yes, you can use it without the iTunes desktop application (allegedly).

You're right. People are sentient beings that should be allowed to choose how and when they die. Animals aren't intelligent enough to make that decision.

I've posted this twice now, and it's been eaten both times. Trying again.

Seriously.

Wasn't there an article awhile back about how "web apps" saved to the home screen this way don't get the benefit of Safari's speed tweaks?

SO much more important than photo/video bulk uploading is the ability to upload files from your browser/email/etc.

Well, this post just made me realize that Gawker sites have somehow managed to disable Readability from accessing them. Does that qualify as ironic?
