I’ve never even heard of this series until I read this review right now, and based solely on the SCOPE of the game I’d be willing to put up with learning a complicated interface. Like Luke said, who wants to be a grunt? Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.

Whenever this kind of thing happens, where a celebrity takes on this kind of unofficial team spokesperson/mascot/whatever the fuck, I always wonder how the players who aren’t actually fans of that person act around them. I bet it would get old real quick.

Ich’s rookie season was so much fun. I remember people on the east coast were asking for Ms games to be broadcast well into the next morning, just so they could watch this “Ichiro” guy live.
