The NFL has had male cheerleaders at the Super Bowl. Most people don’t understand the difference between cheerleading and dance. These guys are the first male dance team members to perform at the Super Bowl. They are not the first male cheerleaders.

I feel like this isn’t accurate (not criticizing The Root because this is how the story is being reported by CNN).

Right! One of the girls got an ISS because she refused to remove her clothing. So, how they can say there is no evidence of a strip search is laughable. I imagine they are using the fact that since they “only”made them strip to their bra and underwear, it wasn’t a strip search.

Maybe Spotify has a secret 80’s/90’s crush on Chuckii Booker because it recommends Games and Turned Away for me quite often. lol

Ugh, the next button on Spotify was useless. For some reason it doesn’t register that you’re not interested in the artist(s) and the app will still add these people in your playlists. At least it does for me.

I just looked her up. I didn’t know she has Parkinson’s. :(

Yeah, if you google Whoopi and the words “rape-rape” you’ll see her comments on the matter. It’s pretty terrible. 

I only mentioned her because she was mentioned in the article. As if everyone who doesn’t support Michele, supports Whoopi or Chris Brown. I don’t financially support none of these fools so I feel good about keeping my money out of Michele or any other foolish person’s pocket. 

Actually, I don’t think his estate is broke anymore. I remember a report saying all his debts were paid and everything is profit now.

She’s had moments. Nothing criminal. But, beyond the Ted Danson Blackface thing, she’s made lots of ignorant comments about rape, for example. Like she said the 13 year old that Roman Polanski drugged and raped was not “rape-raped” (her words).

I mean, I don’t financially support Whoopi Goldberg, R. Kelly, or Chris Brown. I haven’t bought anything associated with Kanye West since like 2010. I have no idea who Travis Greene is.

Ugh! Just like the R. Kelly doc, I’m not going to be able to watch this. I’ll be counting on accurate recaps to get information on what was stated.

I would need to know more information on the status of the current law before declaring it is racist today. Just from a brief reading, the law has been revised multiple times.  How it was used in the past may not be how it is used today.

Some things are not Black and White. Some things are a complicated grey. I can acknowledge that people are motivated by racism in the past. At the same time, those men should’ve been prosecuted as they were raping children! Sex with children is immoral. Full stop.

Yes, the FBI would have to prove Kelly transported the girl for the purposes of sex to seek a Mann Act charge. My point was the FBI cannot seek a stat rape charge because that is a distinct state crime.

So why would the FBI be seeking the lesser the penalty when in essence they have to prove to greater felony to get there?
