I understand why they do it. And there is a kit for almost any car. I just find it lazy and unimaginative. Short cuts aren’t always the best route and I prefer imagination, originality, and craftsmanship over easy and cheap.

Who LS swaps a Toyota? This guy wanted a Camaro but owned a Toyota? Plenty of JDM turbo’s he could have stuck in there I would have been happy with. And then there’s the tranny.
I see 1988 Honda $4k and think crack pipe. Then I think 28 years old! Crap maybe it’s a true classic.
I would not buy this for a dollar.
This was 2009. I see your point though.
You are skipping Indianapolis, which is understandable, but I’m wondering who’s in charge of the break down pool? I was thinking that if there was one for how many and for distance to each from the start point could make it interesting.
I was hoping for battery swaps in season 1. It would be more like refueling in traditional racing and those fans would find it more acceptable.
I wouldn’t have swerved.
I’ve wondered why this hasn’t happened already for a few years. If it’s driving distance from me I will go. If it’s on TV I will watch. If they swap cars instead of batteries (or better the batteries don’t last a race) I’ll stop watching like I did Formula E.

Mr Collins thank you for not suggesting we ban cars to solve this problem. I will continue to read your post as a result, unlike a certain other author.
Making one into a autocross weapon with some IMSA style box flares would be a fun project.

I need new tire every 18 months even with rotation. Going through mountains you could hear the tires hit their grip limit before they broke loose. I had the…
A festival where many people will be intoxicated is not the same as everyday life.
Maybe they don’t want to hang out with Mrs. Ban All Cars.
I was already corrected, and looked it up. Apparently the Buick only came with the 3.8. I must have done the math wrong when I was a kid, or having aged misremembered. That said only 110hp out of a 3.8 is sad. If I had the car again I’d have a lot of project work ahead of me.
