@tylerf: If you're using Steam it'll all be in the cloud. For lots of other games you'll just have to do research and find out where your save files are, then copy them over to your external storage medium.

@darenj: No kidding. I understand the need for licenses but they're so anal about it. I was mucking about with linux and accidentally shrunk my Windows partition too much and broke it. The recovery partition just churned up errors too. The license key is stuck to the bottom of my laptop but I can't use it with my…
@NYBase: It may come as a surprise to you, but some people actually like Android more than iOS4. A shocker, I know.
@TheAbidingDude: I think the reason they stick in their shitty interfaces is 1) they can better feature their shitty bloat apps and 2) To lock consumers in to an interface they already know.
Is polite?
This is neat but I think I'll just wait for 3ds to come out and buy a used xl off craigslist or something.
@Arggh! there goes a...snake a snake!: no, there's still ads
Will hulu plus have new episodes earlier than non-plussed hulu? I hate waiting a week.
That's a lot of money for a notebook. You can easily get the same effect by drawing two (2!) lines on a sheet of paper in a regular cheap notebook from walgreens or something. I'm using a 5-star 5 subject book and it's going just fine. The cover is perfectly durable and I guess the paper isnt exactly a dream to…
@Festering Bovine: My college has this too. I thought all of them did.
Oh man I got so lucky with my roommate. He was in my high school computer maintenance class and I really never talked to him at all except for maybe the last three or four weeks of school. We got along really well and we're both pretty nerdy and last summer he told me he had found an apartment and needed a…
I really like Gmail's labeling system. If I get a message from anyone at my school's domain it's flagged with bright blue label that lets me know it's probably a professor emailing out his assignments. I also like to use plus sign filters that autoreply with my cell number when I'm getting rid of stuff on Craigslist.
You've just now noticed today? This has been happening for months.
TOUCH controls on the back? What a terrible idea, you can't see them. Put physical buttons that you can FEEL on the back.
does it boost productivity? I don't know about that. But if I need to have three windows open, I'd rather have everything visible rather than hiding them behind each other and fiddling with the task bar to get the one I need out.
@jezzarisky: yeah I've got a school debit card but I prefer to use my actual bank account. The school would only give me a debit account no savings.
@SKiTz: My little sister does that. I think it's a Jr High thing. She also say 'mii' (me) and 'gii' (guy). I guess kids will just buy into any trend.
My phone has an abient light sensor and automagically changes the backlight. It is incredibly annoying sometimes flashing bright and dark when a cloud moves or a door opens or something.
@zieroh: Middle click is not necessary but it is incredibly useful. Middle-click a link, and it opens up in a new tab. Middle click a tab, and it closes it. Middle click a taskbar button and it'll open a new instance of that program instead of just maximizing it.
@nootron: I would buy TEN if it did that.
