@Alexander Riccio: Jokes on you! at my college my student ID does double duty as a public transit pass that doesn't expire until the end of the school year!!

15.6" Asus laptop

@ArmoredCavalry: Wow I didn't know that. I'm glad you told us about this before I went off and bought one.

@SKiTz: Not trolling, but I'm genuinely curious why you are against rooting your phone?

heh.. here's to hoping my roommate doesn't read Gizmodo!

@dUc0N: I don't know how tolls work elsewhere but here in IL there's a last-exit sign and if you do go through the toll by accident you can pay it online within 7 days to avoid the ticket.

@subtlescalpel: you can use the -t # switch to display a countdown. (replace # with number of seconds)

@Strider-No.9: @AHSSouhleris: My Asus laptop is beautiful. I got an UL50VT because I'd be using it in places without a constant supply of power outlets and I've been impressed... I personally got 9 hours out of one charge and it would still be cool to the touch by the end of it. If I disable the 'turbo mode'

That'd be neat.. I have a headless server under my desk.. I wonder if I could rig it to blink if it detects unread Reddit messages. Would take getting an orangered to a whole new level!

free sam's club membership? Awesome I can stop by and pick up a year's supply of ketchup after I get my free glitter balls.

Asus... phones?

I understand this guy perfectly. I've roomed with a few apple users and I just get tired of them grating on and on about the latest app they downloaded. Imagine Gizmodo postings around the time when the iPad came out, except for waaaay longer than a week. Just never. shut. up.

Like net neutrality is even remotely important compared to this ACTA travesty looming over us.

@cinnamonster: The community is definitely smaller, but I've been using it for almost a year and I always get quick accurate answers.

@ravingfool: My girlfriend is an EMT and they are trained to look for ICE numbers.

for real? My roommate and I just bought a Rovio for fun.. but this one can fly and it's cheaper!

the 10/GUI thing looks really neat, but i think it would need a trackpad the size of a razer mousemat.
