@Acetylene2: apple tablets have an interface? I thought it was just a grid of icons.

@WestwoodDenizen: My main beef with the gap is that there's no room for fenders.

@indiefab: Show me a bike that isn't a cargo bike and doesn't keep the traditional diamond shape and improves functionality as well.

@winsisai: I take it you don't ride often. Your front breaks will stop you far faster than your rear breaks can ever dream of doing. Just be careful with your grip and throw your weight back and you won't have an issue. Check out Sheldon Brown's website for more: [www.sheldonbrown.com]

They look nice enough, but they don't look like they have any sort of sound isolating features whatsoever. These are useless if you have to turn the volume up to max to be able to hear like with the crap things apple ships with their devices.

This would be cool. I live in Bloomington, IL, which is a fairly large down but has a huge problem: We're building out, not up. The place is just sprawling, and if you don't own a car (like me) getting to a grocery store every week can be a real pain.

Perhaps if AT&T actually.. you know.. had a selection.. i would pick one up. At the moment, you either get to have an iPhone or a Galaxy S. Too bad I don't really care for the iPhone and Samsung is retarded when it comes to something as simple as updates.

@Alex Paul: We males don't get to wear much jewelry without being creepy - especially when it comes to white-collar environments. Watches and cuff links might not be super practical, but they can leave a good impression on a higher-up. You dress for the job you want, not for the job you have.

I think Verizon will be just fine. They've had Android to test the waters with for a few months now. iPhone was the first consumer-ific data-heavy phone... nobody could have been prepared.

Something I have really come to despise is product searching. There are hundreds of "blogs" that just mirror reviews from amazon and newegg and do nothing else. I have Google Alerts set up on my name and it emails me at least twice a week with yet another content thief running ads against my review, and no contact

@john.e.woven: If you get hit with expertsexchange, just click their link and scroll down past the "you must pay to view content" stuff. Everything is in plain text at the bottom.

@pookguy88: Register for classes part-time at your local community college. After you have your email address, drop all your classes before the no-refund date. If they don't purge your account, you're good to go.

@lern2swim: It depends on the school. At my college, I had to email a specific school administrator to get it. My roommate tried it and he couldn't get one because he wasn't in any IT courses.

No background or startup processes? Other ethical reasons aside, I think this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Sure they can occasionally slow down your startup, but I *like* having dropbox and displayfusion starting up automatically.

Not too shabby. The whole shebang is backed up, of course. I've been downloading big games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age recently, though. *glares at Steam holiday sales*

@arj8138: Put Linux on that ipad and get back to me, sir. And go ahead, put an ipad in a fancy case. Then push it off a moving vehicle and tell me if the screen cracked. Because mine didn't.

@pgroves: This is Gizmodo. I highly recommend reading just the headlines. If you want in-depth reviews and news, check out Ars Technica. Their 18-pager on WP7 made Giz look like a website for kindergartners.

@The Werewolf: BUT ITS A DESKTOP OS IT WONT WORK ON A TABLET *foams at mouth*
