Kinja has been broken since before it was Kinja. I don’t remember the comment system on these sites ever working correctly, since I first started reading more than 10 years ago.

Yeah, the pending comments don’t always show up anymore. I long for the good old days of about six months ago where clicking on the “this post” link in notifications would load the page in a way that took you straight to your comment. Now it’s often too much of a bother to reply to a reply.

I read it as someone hit a cop while that cop was eating donuts.

don’t care about your stupid kids!!!! I need your kids paying payroll taxes to keep Social Security going just long enough for me to reach the sweet release of death

Driving a stick in traffic sucks any way you look at it.  Either you step on the clutch a million times (while using up the clutch, throw-out bearing, and engine thrust bearing), or you open up a gap that other drivers will jump in and fill.

I agree with you completely and like the idea of imposing permanent emissions requirements if any large ships want to enter our waters; the international shipping industry would probably rather comply than lose access to our ports. However, retrofitting such giant powerplants that were engineered for specific fuel and

Alright, who’s the U-Boat commander?

“you’re looking right at it, does it look like a fastback?””

I’m sure it will sell for $6,000 if it is rust free. Just not to me.

My hunch for the 3rd door being on the driver’s side was from the number of people who never use the back seat for anything other than a storage shelf, if you have stuff you want to put back there that is not people, you would like to not have to walk around the car to easily put that stuff in and take it out.

Considering one of the criteria is a good sound system, the ELS one in them is pretty damn awesome, even though it doesn’t have the “brand name” of a B&O.

Some people live in a different “real world”

What is the point of an engine that will run forever if you’re going to hate every moment of it doing so? That’s like “yes, this is torture, but you get A LOT OF IT”

That means we need to make it affordable to actually live in dense areas where jobs are and where public transit actually works.

Remember when notifications took you straight to the reply? Man, that was nice.

I saw this yesterday... and it makes me just as happy to read the news again today.

I’ve wondered about that too. Doesn’t seem too useful if it can only deliver packages to people who are home and able to walk out to the curb to pick up their package.

RVs always feel like the TV with a VHS player built into it. I would rather have a truck and a camper that can both do their jobs and if one breaks I don’t have to replace both.
