Someone else had this idea: Lower the crash beam 2 feet. Post it as a bridge with 10 foot clearance, then no one misjudges it: you’re in a car or light truck, or you don’t even try. All trucks would divert over one block.
That would likely cause problems with transit buses that do fit, but perhaps those are 10'4" or…
It’s replacing a Mazda 3 Sedan for me. Full stop, deposit made. I don’t need a large truck. I need a slightly taller than normal car with room for 4-5 small people and open space in the back for occasionally large or tall objects that won’t fit in a CUV. This thing is literally designed for me, and I’m thrilled it…
Had a 96 Jetta with 95K miles on the clock. The most unreliable POS I’ve ever had the displeasure of owning.
Legislation is slow partly because our Constitution designed it that way. We have a system of checks and balances — a bicameral legislature and an independent executive branch. It was designed that way to prevent the tyranny of the majority over the minority.

The weird part is that there’s a Motor Trend TV channel and even THAT won’t air this show.
The no options part is nice, but the double-digit hp in the heaviest E30 chassis ever made is not.
It’s almost as if companies that look at meeting short-term goals that are tied to executive bonuses find themselves in a hard spot when they’re not looking at the long-term future and health of the company instead.
Do you think truck driving is not a technical skill?
See, that’s a quitter’s approach. He could have taken up motorcycling & received a disabled parking permit almost immediately afterwards.
I don’t understand why there’s a 10% No Dice vote out there! How can you hate it?

Well, the engine should have at least a couple thousand miles before it implodes.
I have a lot of concerns about the long term reliability of turbo 4's. For one there is quite a bit of additional hardware involved with a turbo that can fail. Waste gate, intercooler, intercooler piping, blow off valve, the turbo itself, etc. Also when they fail they fail spectacularly and usually take the engine…
Someone here has never lived with auto wipers!
