And that’s why I threw in 10k PER YEAR for depreciation so that his car is only 4 years old at max and he gets a new one around 250k miles. So he never gets to the 400k mile repairs. And even with the 10k a year in depreciation he’s STILL deducting more that double his expenses on taxes.  If he chooses to use that for

Let’s face it, the prices of all snack foods no matter where you are is crazy right now. Crazy enough that I’ve severely limited my consumption of said items. When I walk into a C-store and a candy bar is more than $3, that’s a nope to me. Or a box of Twinkies at the G-store is more than $5, again a nope.

Why would you need to replace the trunk hinges.  I’ve had a fair number of high mileage cars, and trunk hinges were never an item that needed to be replaced.

4 main bearings isn’t a plus on a straight six for durability.  7 main bearings on a straight six is what you want.

The Washington one wasn’t even a bomb, it was a missile body without a warhead.

I just looked up my expenses for last year for my delivery car. $2800 in gas. $750 in repairs. $1000 in insurance. So less than 5k. So let’s double that based on his mileage compared to mine. So 10k. Then I’ll throw in 10k in depreciation, that way every 4 years he can buy a new car. That’s 20k in total vehicle costs.

This week, we had a guy in my city run into an apartment and batter someone inside, then go outside and attempt to batter a delivery driver that happened to be nearby. When the police arrived he managed to fend off 3 police officers, including choking one to the point of losing consciousness while being Tasered (and

Yep, Cat 5 is already described as - total devastation, most houses swept from their foundation or blown away, high chance of death.  How is Cat 6 going to be worse than that?

Except you’re counting his labor value as zero.

Probably doesn’t need brakes at all. I’m at 250k in my Hybrid C-Max, used exclusively for deliveries, on the original brakes and rotors. Prii use timing chains, not belts. I’ve changed my spark plugs 1 time (I should probably do that now.) There is no alternator, no starter. Engine head work????? Come on now. In fact,

Given the electrical problems with the Blazer, this won’t be a good look for Honda.

That’s how it’s normally done even in my small city of less than 10k people. Although today (trash day) I went outside they hadn’t picked up my trash (but they did collect the recycling). Strange, I thought, but I just wheeled both bins back to my house. I started to leave, and noticed an old school trash truck with 3

That dumper got junk in the frunk?

I had one play chicken with me last light (and I’m a delivery driver, too.) The local university has these to ferry meals from the on-campus restaurants to the dorms (yes, they cut into our business because the students can pay for meals from the on campus restaurants, which are chain restaurants, with their

That was Mercedes Benz (among others), and the one I had with soy wiring had ABS and airbags - and a bunch of wiring problems.

Typically the ‘compensation’ is a free whatever they are designing.

One of the sweet items on my hybrid.  When I pull in front of the customer’s house, it keeps blowing cold air even though the engine is off.

I don’t think Florida requires injury liability coverage at all, they only require you to carry no-fault medical in the amount of 10k, and 10k of property liability coverage.

To be fair, this isn’t just a trucking problem, it’s a vehicle insurance problem across the board - minimums haven’t be raised in decades in most states, and in many cases will barely cover the first trip to the ER.  Universal health care would solve a lot of this problem, too.

Exactly. In my part of NC (coastal) there is no bottom to get to, you want big and wide tires to hopefully stay on top. In western NC mud is much more shallow, so you want a tire that will fling out the clay and reach the bottom.
