It’s really not the bumper that are the problem with the 70's big Chevys, it’s the rest of the car.

I’m sorry did you mean 73 Impala? Cause’ the early 70's Impali are far more hideous than 60's Impali.
Yes, but they have to leave home at 5am and don’t get home until 6 pm, making the kids get up too early and not leaving enough time for little Tailor and Achle to go to their after school activities. Plus the school systems count on a good percentage not riding the bus so they can pay fewer bus drivers to drive fewer…
All infrastructure in our country is crumbling. We build cheap and often. Everyone wants to kick every cost down the road. Given the choice of spending a little now, or spending twice as much for something that will last 5 times as long, politicians will choose cheap now every time.
Schools used to be built in neighborhoods that kids could walk to on sidewalks. Schools in my area are now being built in large open fields a mile away from the nearest neighborhood, with the only access being a 45-55 mph 2 lane road with no sidewalk. Oh, and the neighborhoods are developer planned communities that…
Is it possible that people are waiting for electric vehicles with NACS plugs to be standard, so they don’t have to mess with an adapter.
Range at speed is a problem with many boats. If you look a the range specs, it’ll be something like 2000 miles at 4 knots, but 400 at 20 knots. Staying on plane takes lots of fuel. Electric boats are probably even worse, because they don’t lose weight as they burn fuel.
Because most big speaker systems for boat are going to wakeboard boats, and most wakeboarders are young and hip, and therefore like LED mood lights.
If you look at many boat fires, they burn to the waterline because there isn’t a good way to get the water to the fire.
...and????? So what, they shouldn’t be recruiting people on false promises.
Other than those two issues, it really is a great hot rod Lincoln. Cruises down the highway great, and for the time was quite fast. I had a Navigator with the same engine, and it was a poor match for the truck (all the power high in the RPM range, you had to rev the snot out of it to tow anything) but it’s great for…
I think we can deem AMC as the producer with the highest percentage of hideous cars.
Nein!
Interesting, in my area they put red and whites on fire truck and ambulances. It’s almost like the country should have a national standard about what color blinky lights go on what kind of emergency vehicle. I think red/white for fire/ambulance, blue for police and amber for tow trucks is the way to go.
Greens in my area. Amber is for tow trucks.
How about job advertisements? Every ‘gig’ job out there is a deceptive ad. They don’t tell you it’s a 1099 job, which should be paid significantly higher than minimum wage due to the added expenses compared to employment - in fact I’ll go out an a limb and say there should be a law requiring 3x minimum wage for any…
Me too, they are the only shoe that comes in really wide widths (I need the super wide since I tore a ligament off one of my toes) and it readily available at a reasonable price.
2 big problems with the Mark VIII. First is the headlights. They are the among the worst ever put on a car. Second is the air ride. It fails a lot. It’s expensive to fix. However, the car needs it for a great ride. Put the aftermarket coil conversion on the car and the car rides a lot rougher. Friend of mine did it, I…
I rode in my friends low mile Avalon. Liked the pep. So I bought a V6 RAV4 that had the same engine. ~120k miles, clean body and interior. Should be good for another 150k easy. In the one year I owned it the Toyota battery had a bad cell - had to be replaced. Then the AC compressor kicked the bucket. Then the brake…
We have a green arrow to indicate ‘GO’, i.e. a protected left turn. Green ball got replaced with flashing yellow arrow meaning ‘Go if clear’ and Red light means no go.
