Some of the electrons get into the battery by going down hills, or by braking.  In other words a regular hybrid lets you use the same electrons over and over.  PHEV lets you do the same, but gets slightly less mileage because you are hauling around a bigger battery in order to obtain some electrons from the power grid.

The point about more efficiency in total is about all cars, not individual ones. What they are saying is it’s better for more cars to jump from 25-30 to 55 mpg over having 5-10x less cars be able to go some miles all electric.

I think the actual complaint about PHEVs wasting resources is not the batteries could be used for BEV’s but you could make even more regular hybrids that would decrease overall fuel usage more than fewer PHEVs not using gas at all for a portion of their miles.

The clear answer is we need some sort of national registry of actual service animals.

and give 80% to the passengers. and 20% to the airports so they can start purchasing mobile ramps and a bus to transport customers back to the terminal if a gate isn’t available.

Already dropped two streaming services because I blew through all the content I wanted to watch.  Now there isn’t going to be any good new content for the next year or so.

And the blow up dancing man.

They also aren’t paying the federal gas tax, which in a roundabout way also goes back to the state for road work.

In my state (NC) I have to pay about $20 bucks extra every year for every 1000 lbs more than 4k lbs I declare on my trucks weight. Even though a SUV that weighs the same doesn’t have to pay that fee, and I drive my truck less than 5k miles a year.

Double what someone pays in state gas tax if their car gets 25 mpg and they drive 12k a year. People drive more than average in Texas because...it’s huge. Also, factor in the federal gas tax EVs also aren’t paying and all of a sudden they’re paying exactly the same as a car driver in total fuel taxes for the vehicle I

If you do the math so they have equal down payments, it’s still about $20 cheaper than the Camry. So really not that much of a deal, and maybe none at all depending on how much your state taxes electric cars vs hybrid (I just looked $175 extra a year almost wipes out the savings.)

Juvenile records are sealed.  It won’t follow him to adult life.

My guess is the computer started jacking up the prices once the demand increased.  Someone brought it their attention and they corrected it.  My question, however, is why only non-stop flights are mentioned as being price capped.  If you’re evacuating, you take the plane you can get.

I was flying with my mother, and while landing our engine started doing this.  Everyone on the plane started looking out the window on that side, pointing, a general hubbub.  My mom asked what was going on.  I leaned over, pulled down the window shade and told her I’d tell her once we were at the gate.  everything was

And one he could wrench on.

Not in my area. I prefer FedEx now. They normally come earlier in the day, their tracking works better, and nothing has been lost.

16 MPG is slightly worse than I get with my Hemi Ram. Also 6k isn’t enough towing capability as my boat + trailer weighs more than that.  In other words it’s not all the truck I need.

You mean a place to harass potential customers while they are trying to do something else.  And dealers will just love having to spend valuable real estate on a non-profit bearing space.

Exactly, most dealers are in areas surrounded by a bunch of other dealers, not other retail/food, so I can see having a charger or 2 to top off customer’s car when they stop in for service, but as a regular location for charging the annoyance of being there would be awful.

The PT Cruiser.  They had a good idea - some nice retro styling.  Then it actually showed up and it was too small and basically a rebodied Neon.
