Strange considering the F-100 existed until the late 90s. The Dodges were named the D-150 (2wd) and W-150 (4wd) and now Ram and Chevy share 1500/2500/3500 designations.

What kind of boat were you in? Was the mini-mart some sort of floating dock, or perhaps a converted light platform? Because 25 miles east of Savannah is in the Atlantic Ocean.
Automakers will shoot this down because it will increase CAFE. I mean they’re ditching stuff to save 5 lbs, you think they are going to add 170# of extra metal in there?
It’s already like that in my state. You have to have picture ID to sell any scrap metal (including cats) and they take down the license plate # of the vehicle you arrive in to sell your scrap.
I happen to work on my own cars, and have changed several cats. Why shouldn’t I be able to sell/recycle my own parts just because I did the work myself?
My 78 F-150 drove just fine on the freeway - except for that gallon of gas it was slurping down every 10 miles or so.
SS William G. Mather in Cleveland. 618' Great Lakes Freighter.
I don’t know of any safety inspection that’s going to reveal a axle seal being installed incorrectly.
The comparison problem is it take significantly longer to refill the electric vehicle, and you have to find somewhere to do it, as opposed to just stopping and refilling at a gas station at every corner and highway exit in a couple of minutes, not to mention the hassle of recharging with a trailer in tow.
MB for me, too. Mine because it broke a lot and they seemed to go out of their way to make it difficult to fix.
Strangely enough, a friend of mine just bought one.
All of those small trucks were essentially 20 year old designs by that time. The big trucks had all had major redesigns of the suspensions and engines, and the price differential between a small truck and a full size one had gotten pretty small, as well as the fuel economy, so it made sense to get a full size at the…
At a Nissan dealer, you play checkers, at an Infiniti dealer, you play chess.
Yeah, my Ford C-Max hybrid has been one of the most reliable vehicles I’ve ever owned. It’s required less work in 5 years than the RAV4 it replaced did in 1 year. No belts, no starter, no alternator. I haven’t touched the brakes in the 120k miles I’ve owned it (230k on the car right now) and they still look great.…
They’ll also have the assurance of getting raked over the coals at lease turn-in.
I vacationed in the UP last November (it was surprisingly not that cold) and drove back to NC through the LP and managed to not see one State Police car the entire week.
They didn’t put mine onto a transport truck, they just sent someone driving my purchased car, and someone followed them to drive them back. Also, these were used cars, so someone else had been driving them anyway.
Well, that’s just a waste of taxpayer money. Not only the upfront cost of ~$3400, but the continual MPG loss it must cost, plus the potential of increased damage to humans in an accident.
Do they require all homes to be sold with an AM radio? I live in eastern NC, BTW. Your vehicle’s AM Radio doesn’t work well when your car is underwater. When driving home during Hurricane Floyd and we were having localized flash flooding (during the hurricane, not the major flooding that started a couple of days…
Air is 78% nitrogen anyway. Unless you’re driving a race car, you don’t need nitrogen fill.
