Just a suggestion here - but maybe a regular non-PHEV hybrid is what you really want. Hear me out. This vehicle is primarily for long trips, you have an around town Volt already. So you aren’t going to get much use out the plug-in feature, but you’ll have to drag around that heavier battery all the time, plus it’ll

But maybe they paid the mall for the space.

You want to haul car parts - you want a truck with a bed.  You don’t want domestic - you want  Toyota.  Take your pick Taco or Tundra.

Should be a 14th amendment violation (equal protection) to give any company any tax break to move there.  Cities/counties/states should have to charge everyone the same tax rate for property tax.

The lightest parts of the oil cocktail typically burn off, so just adding oil will result in a thick sludge eventually.

Yes, if you’re an independent contractor, then the miles are deductible.  If you are an employee they aren’t, thanks to the Trump tax changes.

I put it in the back seat, most pickups these days are extended or crew cabs. I tried the SUV thing, just wasn’t as practical. In addition to larger items that don’t fit in a SUV, there are also dirty items I haul around that I don’t want inside my nice SUV’s interior. Also, towing is easier with a pickup just because

I counter BMW M54 engine and Ford 300 straight six.

This should be combined with a ruling that any business that requires an employee to use their own vehicle for the primary purpose of a business must be reimbursed mileage at the current IRS rate.   Delivery drivers are getting screwed right now because they can’t deduct substantial mileage expenses that other

I wonder how much those tailgates cost to replace, because nearly every tailgate you see on a truck that’s actually used for truck stuff is dented up on the inside.

What made me change from exclusively single cab trucks to my current crew cab short bed Ram 1500:

Another standard cab/short bed wasn’t the only option, there is also the much better looking standard cab/long bed.  The short bed full size trucks seem to be more popular in northern climates for some reason, in the South long beds rule for full size trucks.

CJ-5s (and -7s) only came with a 304 V-8 stock.

I was driving back to the city I attended college in late at night in a VW Beetle (old). I was stopped by the police about a mile away from my apartment, he started asking me questions about where I was coming from, etc. Finally, exasperated, he told me there was a report of a purple Beetle involved in a crime. Mine

Yeah, seems like a deathtrap in a t-bone collision.

I can just imagine I-95 on Thanksgiving or Christmas week with literally bumper to bumper cars stretching from NYC to Florida all trying to recharge in the Carolinas, where it’s frequently difficult to find somewhere to eat after 10pm of I-95.

As you might be able to surmise by the use of ‘ain’t’ in my post, I do live in the South, and yes, it is my area of the country where you hear Jag-wire.

Yeah, the Maverick looks 20 years newer than that Explorer Sport-Trac.

I can take the jag-u-are or the jag-warr, but jag-wire? Heck no, there ain’t no i in Jaguar.

Really, I’ve driven my convertible on multi-day trips with the top down most of the time, only one time did I need to stop for sunscreen, and that was driving along the beach in the middle of July.
