I have had 3 BMW convertibles. First 2 had tan interiors, current has black. Black actually isn’t as bad as you might think. If it’s really hot and sunny outside, top is staying up anyway and I’m running the AC. At night it doesn’t matter. If it’s sunny and say in the 60s or 70s outside, the black interior traps a bit

Yeah, strange they didn’t use the Ford ones, which are also used in Ford E-series van of the same vintage (and then next vintage as well.)

I, too, have shifted that shifter.

Primary use for me is to tow a boat. Secondary is going to sporting events. Third is hauling stuff for my house.

I get a lot more use out of my center console in my current truck than I ever did out of the bench seat in my former truck.  Plus in the new truck the passengers can sit in the back seat.

So here’s the deal. I bought the Jeep around 20 years ago, it needed to be reassembled from a previous owners attempt at repairs. I did so, and drove it for about 15 years. I finally decided I wanted to put some seat belts with shoulder harnesses into it. When I got into that job I discovered the rear half of the body

I’ve had my 76 CJ-7 for over 20 years, right now I’m doing a YJ body swap onto it.  Almost done, really just need to finish with the wiring harness.

I had a 93 300E 2.8, and it had degradation all over the place.

I actually can’t think of a worse car. They really aren’t that valuable, it seems like MB went out of their way to make it difficult to repair things, and they have several very expensive gotchas. I have loads of experience working on cars, and I found mine to be quite the PITA, definitely not the car to start with.

You also probably have just run the speaker wire through the hole where the cable runs through (it snaps right out) and tied it to the pedal (or continued to work it with your hand.)

I always just bypassed the clutch interlock on every car I owned that had one.

I was 4 wheeling in my 78 F-150, which had the super cooling option and the radiator hung really low, as well as holding a massive amount of coolant. So I went into a deep mud pit and managed to hit the radiator hard enough to crack it. I was about 50 miles from home. So I filled up from a creek, and then started

You know, you probably could have just replaced the entire tank in a CJ-7 for the same amount of money.

It has very little utility other than a spare bedroom sitting in the yard for your drunk uncle who comes by to visit every now and then. That engine could barely move the stock truck, much less one with all that weighty stuff behind it.

The only insurance required in Florida is the 10k in PIP and 10k in PDL.  Which is essentially to say no insurance.

Labor Day - a day white collar and governmental workers take off to celebrate people who still have to go to work that day.

One key difference is most people’s homes are larger than a closet.

Yeah, can you imagine I-95 on Christmas Eve or the day before Thanksgiving with everyone trying to recharge?

Once you chop holes in the fiberglass it’s a lot harder to fill them in.  If the buggy is only driven off-road or on the beach it really doesn’t need front turn signals.  Also, windshield wipers are not used that often (if at all) on a buggy - source - my step father made me drive one when I first got my license.

They clearly aren’t enforced.  Think of the the ‘unlimited’ claims that have limits.  And the list goes on.
