The Lake Michigan coast is spotted with nuclear reactors, and they all leak. That’s straight radioactive waste going directly into the world’s largest freshwater resource. “Freshwater” is such a nice term, and yet “fresh” doesn’t pair well with “radioactive” or “waste.”

I fear that replacing the pipes will cost more than the home is worth. Let’s face it—nobody is going to move to Flint. Those homes will never be sold. We’re going to spend tens of thousands replacing pipes to a home that will likely be abandoned in the next 10-20 years (see Detroit or Muskegon Heights).

I no longer get blood tests every year, even though if certain levels were raised, it might indicate something is amiss. Paps are now every three years. Mammograms are no longer recommended every year.
