This was the rally Monte Carlo that saw the Sunbeam Tiger (international) racing debut as well. My dad bought his in Spain soon after. Still driving it. I always wanted to do up my Miata like this for track duty as an homage.

VIR Tudor race. That's a pic of the false grid. That's our rental RV in the background. Quite a wonderful thing to be woken up by race cars in the morning.

It’s hard to tell what is going on here, but it’s easy to tell that I love it.

I agree with your assessment of the earlier version of the RDX - it is oft overlooked by those looking for a sporty CUV. Bonus points for the Honda reliability. (and it’s a bespoke 2.3L turbo, actually)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Acuras are fun to own, not to drive.

Can confirm minds are blown when tootling around town in Dad’s.

Fit the new 2.5 turbo four pot from the new CX-9 in the 6 and I will gladly trade in my 335i for it.

I find it interesting that the total cost of leasing a BMW i3 for 3 years is also about $10k. I have a feeling that after three years the now 6 year old Leaf and the leased i3 will be worth about the same to you - $0.

I resemble that remark! Close your eyes and imagine owning the car for 10 years. Go ahead and cross Audi/BMW/Merc off your list. Been there done that.

Acuras are fun to own, not to drive.

N54. N55 was a single, variable vane turbo that by all accounts is much more robust in fuel delivery and turbo life expectancy.

Unfortunately the 2006 (there was no 2007) 530xi wagon ‘sport’ package didn’t even include the better steering wheel.

You forgot the failure-prone rear air suspension. And the rear electronics module that sits in the spare wheel well, just waiting to collect water. (Although that could be unique to the 535xi)

Half naked Lambo is the best Lambo:

Yep, was there all weekend.

Harbor Freight?

My ‘95 M3 had these wheels - please note these are the rare, LTW staggered wheel option. These are painted, not polished like the later double spokes. Mark my words, these wheels will be the items that make or break E36 values for any collector/speculators out there. It also helps they are soft and I bet many were

VIR FTW! Wonder if they run the C&D Lightning lap configuration (Grand East?)

So about that Porsche supercar steering wheel...
