Try finding out if a Tesla has software enabled Autopilot. You have to talk them through the setting screen. $7,000 option and they have no clue.

The last Pilot refresh was almost too good. We bought a 2014 MDX CPO SH-AWD ADV ENT two years ago and basically it’s the same content as a 2019 MDX.

It’s great having a disposable track car. One of my first (and fastest) instructors said never take a car to the track that you can’t be prepared to push off a cliff.

Dad’s Tiger.

Got a BMW X3 diesel with a six speed manual a decade back for a drive from Paris north on business. I was excited since I’d been daily driving a 95 M3 manual (and a track rat Miata) for a few years and this was forbidden fruit for me.

Agree, but think the Autoplot enabled Teslas are going to be more depreciation resistant. (Edit: oooh this is one of the unicorn P85Ds with autopilot built end of 2014!)

Odd omission to the article:

I got the BMW short films on DVD somehow when it first came out. They were (are?) fantastic. It helped that I was flogging an E36 M3 at the time.

Wow. Like it was rear ended by a 928. That does not compute.

Standing starts.

Ha! Plenty of EV owners charge to 100% when you need that extra 1/5 tank of electrons to get home from work. It’s usually those slumming in Leafs like me.

Now playing

I think the alloy under the aero cover looks fantastic! Best of both worlds that you can slap on the aero cover for road trips and leave them off for normal driving.

EV West makes a kit. I think this is one:

And you wonder why parts suppliers fear the electric revolution?

I ran the math and the cost to buy a used Leaf was the same as the total lease payment for an i3. And they both are going to be worth $0 when I’m done with them!

The last generations of Acura and Honda have moved to separate platforms at least for the MDX and RDX (is my understanding). Could be marketing BS

This RAV4 has a Tesla battery management system that will almost guarantee less range degradation over the next few years than a LEAF, especially in FL.

Yerp. Plenty of “opportunity” charge locations around. Favorites are the MofL&S, DBAP and the new Whole Foods.
